Flanker15
HE should never be used against armored targets for starters. AP, HEAT or ATGM should be picked every time. When my BMP-2 decided to use AP against a Stryker it killed it in 1 hit, as opposed to many hits from HE.
Kwazydog
Hi Guys, I checked with Chalres and this is currently intentional. The reason being that the BMP ammo can only penetrate the Strykers armor at close range. As such they will tend to use HE against them at longer ranges in order to damage items such as optics, suspension, etc. Dan
thewood
Is that SOP for armored vehicles? I think that was asked before and I never saw the answer. I know we have some guys here with experience.

DaveDash
Perhaps with Brad's they 'conserve' their TOW missiles for more dangerous targets such as tanks, since they are such a pain to reload. I've noticed against tanks they will use them fairly quickly, but up against other targets - they will use them eventually. Perhaps this can be confirmed.
Beastttt
what about a fruit salad load 2 he(for the squishy targets) 1 ap for the light armor stuff for a 3 rnd burst Does SF check to see how many hits from a burst hit or just 1 with a higher probablity of hitting I thought I had read that the 25mm chain gun had 2 ammo bins (1 ap 1 he)and could fire from either or feed from both for a fruit salad
Battlefront.com
The Brad does have two ammo bins that the gunner can switch between with the flip of a switch. So no "fruit salad load" stuff is possible since it's straight ammo in each bin with the gunner deciding which to fling and when. TOWs are definitely held back for things that the auto-cannon can't deal with effectively. We've asked for some first hand confirmation about which ammo a Bradley would use against a target that either can safely punish. I can't remember us getting a definitive answer so I don't think Charles changed the behavior. Steve

SgtMuhammed
Just had an encounter between a platoon of Brads and a T72. Brads didn't waste time with 25mm and went straight to TOW. 4 of 6 missiles missed, but at least they were firing them.
