Big Poppa Pump
Any chance for getting a move to contact command added? More specifically like the old CMx1 command coupled with the hide command that would allow you to spot enemy positions without firing.
Stingray
"Hunt" command in CMSF is the same as "Move to Contact" command in CMX1
Big Poppa Pump
Not exactly. They'll stop upon contact but they will not hold their fire.
the Fighting Seabee
Hunt with small firing arcs?
Holman
Doesn't "Hunt" with "Hide" cause units to stop and hold fire?
missinginreality
Nope. They still engage on contact and ignore the HIDE and HUNT with small arc restricts the area they concentrate their HUNT on. A dedicated MOve to Contact especially in WEGO would be most handy.
Big Poppa Pump
Thanks for testing. I was fairly certain I had tried the suggested methods without any success. A decicated move to contact command would be helpful for WEGO and realtime.
Cuirassier
Troops also tire in hunt mode. In CM1, move to contact would not tire troops.
dischord
Yes please! Why is it that squads have the common sense to use a trench for cover but lack that sense with ridges or hilltops? too NEAR a ridge, guys walk over the ridge and get killed. too FAR from the ridge no one gets to the ridge and I have to waste turns/time inching forward. Ideally I would like the ability to draw a line and say "form a line here" or some such(o.k. you can guess I'm not real military). However, a "Move to contact" command would be a good start - in particular if we could combine it with a speed i.e.: Move to contact + slow Move to contact + move Move to contact + fast

Any way to help deal with would be really appreciated.

Beg to differ....CM1 move to contact definitely tired troops, albeit slowly.
