handihoc
Playing the new Euphrates scenario, but when my Abrahams and MGS take up position behind low walls, they don't seem to get LOS on anything lower than 3rd level buildings.
Budge4
Yep its the low wall los bug that apperently crept into the patch code shortly before release, BF are gonna address it in the next patch.
aka_tom_w
yes, v1.06 should address the low wall LOS thing and a few other little things I think. [ December 16, 2007, 06:20 AM: Message edited by: aka_tom_w ]
handihoc
Duh! Yes, just seen it's been documented in other posts. Hopefully a quick fix, as in terms of gameplay it's pretty annoying.
Webwing
- I have a feeling we traded the high wall bug for the low wall bug!!!! I don't mind waiting months for the other fixes and improvements that sure will come with 1.06. It would be nice to see a quick fix for this issue though. Maybe 1.051? --
aka_tom_w
I think they will call it v1.06 and my guess is it won't be months in production.
Battlefront.com
Yes, v1.06 will come out very quickly. Not months. We don't want to start doing sub numbers, like 1.051 or 1.05A, so the next patch will indeed be v1.06 Steve
handihoc
Steve, that's good news, but will 1.06 also include directional smoke? (I asked this in another thread yesterday, but got no reply). Atm smoke only goes wherever the unit is facing, which is frequently not the desired target.
Battlefront.com
The problem is if we start adding stuff other than the few bugs we've targeted, then we will move to months before release Initially version 1.05 was going to be a quick patch to fix the rooftop LOS bug that v1.04 introduced. 2 months later... You can get smoke to be tossed in any direction you like by using a Face Command first, then Pop Smoke. It will remain that way for some time to come. M1A1TC
You can get smoke to be tossed in any direction you like by using a Face Command first, then Pop Smoke. It will remain that way for some time to come. Steve [/QB]Can this be done as a string of commands withing 60 sec WEGO turn? As far as I can tell the Face command always comes last OK, just tried it in game WEGO Gave command to move, chose the last waypoint. Selected Face, ok, purple line appeared. Then, selected Pop Smoke. The purple line (face) dissapeared. The troops proceeded to the last point, faced where ever they wanted (not where I wanted them to face) and poped smoke in random direction. Steve, its broken There is no way of doing this in wego: Move, face, pop smoke [ December 16, 2007, 03:10 PM: Message edited by: M1A1TankCommander ]
Budge4
Microsoft can release a directx update every couple of months and still call it 9.0c so BF can release updates and still call it 1.05 as far as im concerned, 1.051, 1.052 etc just gets too confusing.
