Commissar
Considering the demo was released much sooner that stated, is there much chance the full game may get the BFC-Maskirovka treatment? I don't mind waiting till Sept 20, but getting it sooner certainly wouldn't upset me.
Captain Wacky
I recall BFC saying that they definitely would not release a CMBB demo until the full game was ready...and yesterday Matt said something exciting was going to happen today...he might have meant the demo, but seeing as how that came out last night... Or maybe they just changed plans
Michael Dorosh
Of course, given some of the...err...undocumented features that seem to be cropping up (wonder what those beta testers do, anyhow) perhaps it will even be...dare I say it...delayed? Captain Wacky
I think I could stand playing it as is for a bit while they work out the kinks.
Commissar
Didn't they also say there was going to be no mac version of CMBB? I guess really no plan survives contact......

Schrullenhaft
There was never any mention of there being no Mac version - not from BTS in any serious tone. The game is programmed on a Mac and then ported over to the PC. Other than some of the tweaks to 'disable' the Demo it is much quicker to put up an executable for download than to release a manufactured product. The manuals need to be printed (probably in the process now) and the CD's need to be manufactured. It takes time to do these things, so there's going to be lag between the release of the Demo and the availability of a finished product to ship. Commissar
I don't own a Mac, so I personally don't care but can you run CMBB on OS 9 on an OS X machine running OS9 as an application without much problems?
Pvt. Ryan
BFC released the demo a few hours early because CDV released their demo sooner than BFC expected, although technically not earlier than they should have.
Schrullenhaft
Only in 'software rendering' mode, which takes a bit of the graphical joy out of CM. If you boot into OS 9 (and not run it as the 'Classic' process under OS X) then you can run with hardware rendering.
LGMB
Bah, OSX is the spawn of the devil. It's slow, it's glitchy, it has no features... OS9 Baby!
