CMX2 Borg Posted September 5, 2002 Share Posted September 5, 2002 Full Text Follows: <FONT COLOR="#A58F50"> With so many negative waves burning up the Forum, perhaps it is time for 331 of 9808 to add some positive thoughts to the forum so that we may continue our quest for universal acceptance of CMBB as all that is good, sweet and right in this and any other galaxy. a) Graphics. The new graphics are simply stunning; even starting from the very basics of grass and sky, add doodads, waving trees, and wind into the mix and you have a winner. Hi res uniforms, new rank differentiations, AWESOME looking tracer and explosion effects, simply outstanding. Deanco's interface doesn't suck half as bad as some of the dreck he foisted on the community before (KIDDING....THE BORG KIDS!!! WE LOVE DEANCO...with so much info to cram into the interface we can't see anyone having done this better - and look forward to his unpublished stuff going onto websites soon.) What about those houses that have floors in them now, and can be looked OUT of. What a dramatic improvement! We are astonished and thrilled. Gameplay - from variable turn endings to improved MG mechanics to what appear to be improved and more realistic rates of fire, penetration data of AFVs, to the willingness of anti-tank troops to commit to close assaults, simply stunning. c) Stuff we don't even know get to see yet - the importing of maps and forces in QB maps, the improved size of the maps.... And on, and on, and on We are not going to dilute this opus with a "but couldn't you" or "but in future you should". We are going to leave it there because that is how impressed and grateful we are. To anyone who dares crack this code and still wants to quibble - WE ARE COMING FOR YOU. YOU WILL BE CONVERTED TO OUR WAY OF THINKING. YOU WILL LOVE CMBB AND EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I was simply pointing out to you that you are nothing but what the peng-people would fittingly call a SSN trying to rip off an idea that has been here looong ago. and your empathic, highly reactive behavior shows to me sufficiently that your NOT the old CM Borg. The old CM Borg was a rather complacent type, said very little, and what he did say could be predicted easily, which was part of the running gag that he was.
