Martin Krejcirik
yep, don't know why they use that M$ DOC format.
Old Dog
The .DOC format should also open with Wordpad, which comes with Windows, but it doesn't - it gives an error message as you said. I had to use my wife's computer (she has MS Word) to open it. There's good info on the new "Orders" and other changes from CM:BO in the doc, it needs to be in plain text, or at least reformated so Wordpad will open it. - Old Dog
WWB
I converted it to HTML. Feel free to email me at wwb_99@yahoo.com if you need a copy. WWB
Firefly
Works fine in Wordpad for me. I'm using Win XP, so I don't know if it's a later version of Wordpad than that with Win 9X though.

pathfinder
Same here, only bug I found in the demo (IMHO anyways). Can't open readme with wordpad in win98se. *shrug* no big deal me but would be for those without MS Word.
Firefly
Well as I said in the other thread about this M$ do a free word viewer in addition to Wordpad, as they do with the free Excel viewer.
