BFC, Strat Guide missing pages!

Recommended Posts

I received my strategy guide yesterday and while perusing last night I noticed that mine must have come off a bad run at the press.

I seem to be missing 30 pages or so. My first chapter runs to page 1/52 then goes straight to page 1/85. It then goes from page 1/85 through 2/4, then starts over again at 1/85 through chapter 2. So it appears that a section of pages was duplicated and a section was left out. I did buy 2 guides, one for a friend, and will check with her today if her's is the same way.

Just wanted to let you guys know and see if anyone else has noticed this oddity. Also wondering if I could get a replacement. The infantry charts are incomplete and this was one of the main reasons I purchased the guide.

Thanks BFC. You guys are still the best.

What, no one's gonna say anything?!?

How about:

1. No, no, no. It's [insert favorite porno mag name here] that has the sticky pages!

2. Hope he didn't get any on the keyboard while he was 'reading' the guide...

3. Yeah, that's the first thing I did with my guide too.

4. Wow! I wonder what kind of pictures are in the guide.

5. ???

Comedy is not my strong suit, but how could a 'sticky pages' reference go all night without a comment?!? ;)

I recieved my copy saturday - pretty quick considering I'd just ordered it only a few days before that! smile.gif

All the pages are there, but it should have had better proof reading before being released.

Nothing major, just little things to make you look twice at what you just read. Missing words like "the, to, there, and" and that sort of thing or the same word twice, or in the charts some columns were bumped over, or in one place the PSI was written as MPH. And the word Flak was written in a few places as "FLAX". Things that a computer spell checker wouldn't catch but a human proof reader would have.

But besides that it's a great guide and worth the price! BvB

or in the charts some columns were bumped over
....which, in my opinion, makes the tables -- a good portion of the book -- nearly useless. This shoulda been caught, and the tables should have some grid lines (perhaps faint ones) to assist the eye.

And the typos. This book feels like it's in "beta" -- the content is there, but all the "bugs" make it hard to see that.....

Lord Dragon,

Sorry about the lack of response. I thought someone else responded to this thread officially smile.gif

Unfortunately, it looks like a printer boo-boo slipped through. We always get one or two "surprises" for every large print run we do. Best one was an entire CMBO manual colated backwards!! What is more surprising than seeing this happen is to see it only happen once.

Anyhoo, please contact Martin about this if you haven't done so already. martin@battlefront.com

Thanks and sorry for the problemo!

Steve
