What's your optimal scenario size?

Recommended Posts

I prefer 2.000 to 3.000 points in a battle. That generally gives you a good choice of tools to work with. The thing I also like is that the loss of a single AFV won't hamstring you while it's still a sufficiently bad thing to happen to you that you sit up and take notice.

A medium map is best, giving you room to maneuvre but not so that you start loosing the overview and loose units without noticing.

I also lose track of units in large/huge scenarios. There have been a number of times where I've forgotten all about a unit for several turns!

I suggest you take some notes. Especially the key units like FOs, good CO HQs, guns or specialists like 'schrecks are noteworthy and easy to overlook.

There's nothing like getting a mail stating that your opponent overlooked a FO in a trench until that trench got overrun in turn 30.

Any thing with lots of tanks in is fine by me.

So to repeat LOTS OF TANKS PLEASE.

And lots of crappy early war tanks so me and my opponents can have a laugh while playing.

And just in case you missed it

LOTS OF TANKS PLEASE :D

Cheers

PS

Just in case i forgot to mention it.

LOTS OF TANKS PLEASE

Around a company of infantry with lots of support weapons but no armour, 30 or so turns, large map with plenty of cover and hills. Attack or defend.

Only problem with a company is you can lose the effective use of one third of your infantry very quickly if a platoon gets ambushed. Lose your arty spotter and you are in big trouble as no-one else (in CMAK) can take over from him. Hint.
