How about replacing the "_at_" part with a "@"? tongue.gif

After all of Barfer's hard work to get off that last page, Gags247 had to go and ruin everything. I'll be sending a heavy dose of TNT up Barrie way but, being the stark raving mad neo-con that I am, I'll take away your health care first and then watch you wallow in agony. tongue.gif:D

Ever since Snore-a-chai scolded me for not being eddicated, I've decided to broaden my horizons.

I've read 'Strata' by Pratchett and I'd like to seriously discuss the book and its author, compare and contrast with Cornwell and his characters...

GRGRAAAARGHRGHAAAAARGH!!!!!! Sharpe or Derfel could beat Pratchett senseless with a TNT soaked sponge!!!

There's my book report. Cliff Notes already contacted me.

Axe, since you seem to have them all...

Got the lyrics to Nina's 99 Luft Ballons (99 Red Balloons in the inferior english I think)? That way I can quite making up german words when I sing along! Don't tell me your not old enough to have heard of it either, its one of MTVs first runs like that Safety Dance...err...thingy.

Oh, and if you want you can do the setup this time or I can do another "setup". Was what Watson got a stand-up (or is it stood up)? It's okay Watson I never had much luck with blondes anyway, so I married a brunette.

99 Luft Balloons

German Version

Hast Du etwas Zeit für mich

Dann singe ich ein Lied fuer Dich

Von 99 Luftballons

Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont

Denkst Du vielleicht grad' an mich

Dann singe ich ein Lied fuer Dich

Von 99 Luftballons

Und dass sowas von sowas kommt

99 Luftballons

Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont

Hielt man fuer UFOs aus dem All

Darum schickte ein General

Eine Fliegerstaffel hinterher

Alarm zu geben, wenn es so war

Dabei war da am Horizont

Nur 99 Luftballons

99 Duesenjaeger

Jeder war ein grosser Krieger

Hielten sich fuer Captain Kirk

Das gab ein grosses Feuerwerk

Die Nachbarn haben nichts gerafft

Und fuehlten sich gleich angemacht

Dabei schoss man am Horizont

Auf 99 Luftballons

99 Kriegsminister

Streichholz und Benzinkanister

Hielten sich fuer schlaue Leute

Witterten schon fette Beute

Riefen: Krieg und wollten Macht

Mann, wer haette das gedacht

Dass es einmal soweit kommt

Wegen 99 Luftballons

99 Jahre Krieg

Liessen keinen Platz fuer Sieger

Kriegsminister gibt es nicht mehr

Und auch keine Duesenflieger

Heute zieh ich meine Runden

Seh die Welt in Truemmern liegen

Hab' nen Luftballon gefunden

Denk' an Dich und lass' ihn fliegen

99 Luft Balloons

English Version

You and I in a little toy shop

Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got.

Set them free at the break of dawn

'Til one by one, they were gone.

Back at base, bugs in the software

Flash the message, Something's out there.

Floating in the summer sky.

99 red balloons go by.

99 red balloons.

floating in the summer sky.

Panic bells, it's red alert.

There's something here from somewhere else.

The war machine springs to life.

Opens up one eager eye.

Focusing it on the sky.

Where 99 red balloons go by.

99 Decision Street.

99 ministers meet.

To worry, worry, super-scurry.

Call the troops out in a hurry.

This is what we've waited for.

This is it boys, this is war.

The president is on the line

As 99 red balloons go by.

99 Knights of the air

Ride super-high-tech jet fighters

Everyone's a superhero.

Everyone's a Captain Kirk.

With orders to identify.

To clarify and classify.

Scramble in the summer sky.

As 99 red balloons go by.

99 dreams I have had.

In every one a red balloon.

It's all over and I'm standing pretty.

In this dust that was a city.

If I could find a souvenier.

Just to prove the world was here.

And here is a red balloon

I think of you and let it go.

Setup this afternoon.

And I recently downloaded Culture Club's Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? Very nice bass runs.

Snarker and Pseudosimonds!!

I need help in getting Watson and Crick (W&C from now on) on the right track with PBEM Helper.

With no urging from me, he actually went out and downloaded it.

This is his latest e-mail. I sent him turn 20K008.

Okay, if I click on this file, it will open up w/ PBEM helper. Then I see it

in the window (20K###.txt). Unfortunately, I get an error message, "can't

find 20K008.txt." I think I see what it is supposed to do. Maybe there is

something wrong w/ the PBEM.PBEM file???? It would REALLY help if the

documentation was stooopud proof.

Comments, questions, concerns?

Now that I think about it, he probably needs to right click on the CMBB line in the "Installed programs" window and select modify. Under that the "Email folder" line should read "PBEM." If not, browse until you find the correct folder.

A glorious June Saturday afternoon to all!! Except for Mike and Mace and their upside down compatriots, who may be on Wednesday or koaladay, or they may even be in a different month or year. tongue.gif:D

For your listening pleasure, here's another set of lyrics. This was Billboard's #1 song for three weeks in 1963. Some will understand, but certainly none of you maggots! Enjoy! :D:D:D

Sukiyaki Lyrics (by Rokusuke Ei)

Ue o muite arukoo

Namida ga kobore nai yoo ni

Omoidasu haru no hi

Hitoribotchi no yoru

Ue o muite arukoo

Nijinda hoshi o kazoete

Omoidasu natsu no hi

Hitoribotchi no yoru

Shiawase wa kumo no ue ni

Shiawase wa sora no ue ni

Ue o muite arukoo

Namida ga kobore nai yoo ni

Nakinagara aruku

Hitoribotchi no yoru

(whistling)

Omoidasu aki no hi

Hitoribotchi no yoru

Kanashimi wa hoshi no kage ni

Kanashimi wa tsuki no kage ni

Ue o muite arukoo

Namida ga kobore nai yoo ni

Nakinagara aruku

Hitoribotchi no yoru

(whistling)

Oh, all right, here is the more or less literal English translation. The title "Sukiyaki" was given to the song so American DJs could call it something familiar to their listeners. The title had nothing to do with the song. This song was recorded by Kyu Sakamoto, who is still the only Japanese singer to ever have a #1 record. He was one of the 520 people who died in the crash of JAL Flight 123 just outside of Tokyo on August 12, 1985.

I look up when I walk

So the tears won't fall

Remembering those happy spring days

But tonight I'm all alone

I look up when I walk

Counting the stars with tearful eyes

Remembering those happy summer days

But tonight I'm all alone

Happiness lies beyond the clouds

Happiness lies above the sky

I look up when I walk

So the tears won't fall

Though my heart is filled with sorrow

For tonight I'm all alone

(whistling)

Remembering those happy autumn days

But tonight I'm all alone

Sadness hides in the shadow of the stars

Sadness lurks in the shadow of the moon

I look up when I walk

So the tears won't fall

Though my heart is filled with sorrow

For tonight I'm all alone

(whistling)

Tell him to delete it immediately. It's a crutch for PBEM-challenged maggots (like you and Snarker and Pseudo), and he doesn't need it. Census Bureau statistics show that 26 year old blondes hate guys using PBEM Helper. tongue.gif:D:D

Okay Maggotinas. I have conquered PBEM Helper. Next it will Max-Headrooms Krauts.

Surprisingly Max's PBEM helper advice worked. Probably a first for that guy tongue.gif ....

Robohn, I generally prefer brunettes. But, This little blonde is spunky. Anyway, she postponed the second date for sometime early next week. I think she is sincere....

Anyone else up for some PBEM luvin'? Send a set-up. I'm a runnin' PBEM-helper.
