JoMac
Im setting up a quick battle using my own map instead of the random map, is there anyway to change the special ability factors for the HQ units - Moral, Combat, Command, Stealth, or is it just random. Corvidae
in a QB,, its random, you get what you get, work within the limmits set, You also get some variation of quality , IE: select reg and you get some green and some vet, , but again you have no control over it
JoMac
Corvidae, thanx for the reply, can you schedule reinforcements. Does everything you get automatically come on first turn.
Brent Pollock
No reinforcements in a QB; everything starts on-map.
Corvidae
there are no reinforcements in QB games. In fact if you use a map from a mission with reinforcements , you still dont get reinforcements , you have whats on the map, and thats it, Although if you save a QB, and use it as a map for another QB, you can get the units from the old QB as well,
Joachim
There is that idea of random scens or random reinforcement scens. The basic idea is to create a scen and have several reinforcement slots at low percentages for the AI. This way you can set up a scen but still don't know when and what the AI has. You can buy your own troops in a scen, save it and then load the map as a QB. CM asks whether you want to import the troops. You are allowed to buy more troops for the QB, but you don't need to. Your troops fromt he editor should show up in the unit list and you can delete them - but not get the same ones back. If there are setup zones in the cen, the QB will use them, else it will place them as appropriate for the map size and mission type. Same with (static) flags. General Bolt
JoMc67, Here are some scenarios billed as Random Reinforcements. They are lotsa fun - ZILCH, ZERO, NADA historical value. Troops just keep coming from various sides. Strictly 2 player. Forest Frenzy was my favorite. If you get offended by "make believe" scenarios close your eyes tap your heels together and say "Its only a game, It's only a game."
