Bruno Weiss
Well not only that, but it brings up the subject of female Orcs. Ever seen a female Orc? Right! Pure sexist bias on the part of the authors. How could you have Orcs in the first place without female Orcs. I have it by good account that female Orcs played a vital role in the war on Middle Earth. Many serving with distinction in the logistical, transportation, and even mobile archer oranizations. I have a picture somewhere of a female crew manning, well I guess womanning Gollum's Organs, at a rear area bivouac.

That last sentence is Grade-A sig material...
MikeyD
Me, I can imagine a CM-style 'Age of Sail' wargame. Combatants would be various 3-D rendered sailing ships, from blockade runners to giant Spanish Gallions. Sea states, wind directions, and weather conditions would come into the calculations. Sails could be raised and lowered on demand ("hoist/lower the spanker" key command). CMAoS ("Combat Mission: Age of Sail") would need a thick manual describing basic sailing techniques, fighting in formation, gun types, boarding parties, etc. That game would rock, especially in BFC's hands. GRUMLIN
Here's my chance to be a grog - the female orcs arent covered in the books or films 'cos they are all kept in breeding pits in the Orcs lairs. See the excellent series of modules by Iron Crown Enterprises (now OOB) for more details on the fun life of a female orc.. Grum (Hurrah, a subject I can out-grog people at on the CM boards!!)
ASL Veteran
Lords of the Realm 1 and 2 are two of my all time favorite computer games (along with the Siege Pack!!!) I really liked the little phrases that the various troop types used to say before doing certain actions - and the music was pretty cool too. Some of the provinces in the center of the map always used to get so ravaged that you couldn't get them going until you shipped grain and cattle into them - but then one of the computer players would go into that territory and steal all the cattle and grain if you didn't protect it! I actually played Lords of the Realm for several years all told - I actually played it until my newest computer at the time made the game run waaay too fast. I finally had to take it off the hard drive at that point. That one was a home run with me Steve!!
shadow_king
Hmm. A BattleTech version - using the CM engine would really be fun. Does anyone know if te developers considered this?
Zarquon
Would there be a way of telling invisibility from a software bug?
