Rambo, now I've always always told everyone I know: Americans are all full of spirit, heart, and good intention. They fought on the 'good' side in both world wars, korea, vietnam, others etc. I think as well that it was America, this century, that saved the world from the dictators. As far as being canadian, I think of you guys as next closest of kin.

I think in the context of WW2 and the 'if germany could have..', i was meaning to highlight a period and course of time that could have radically changed our world from the one we know now. I believe (at least by the books i've read), that it was really a hair's breadth away from that moment. It's mind boggling! All said, America and Roosevelt were instrumental in the allies' final victory, but Hitler and others were more instrumental in their own defeat.

Your feeling your oats. It's hard not to be angry with Euro's so complacent and snobby. Sitting back criticizing everyone else and not lifting a finger to help. Great examples: Korea, Taiwan, Kuwait. UN troops couldn't stop a pack of dogs from raiding a chicken coop. Dad's Uncle fought in Belgium as a BEF and ended up in Dunqurque<sp> another generation back at Verdun! Sure about dozens of my ancestors sit in Belgian, French Cemetaries, dying in those trenches for you! Not including the American ones I don't know of

@Rosey --- Time for you to take inventory, because you're way out in deep left field. I don't know what you do it Amsterdam, but it sounds like you're a little whimp jellyfish. I'm not surprised you comprimise with evil. That doesn't get any play here in the States. We enjoy cleaning up the world's problems. Saddam had to go & should have been done 14 years ago. Oh well, thank God that George W. Bush finished busy for the country & his daddy. The record books now show a nice big fat "W" (Win) for us. Iraq was done in 2-days. Saddam is gone, the world is a better place. The message is simple,"Either you're with us or against us". Our way of life represents freedom, economic opportunity, & kicking ass. You'd rather depend on the government for rules, off Big Brother for a paycheck, & sitting around in Amsterdam wathcing our liberal CNN.

Wake up, smell the coffee son. Saddam sucks & is out of the picture. So are those murderous sons too.
