FriendlyFire Posted March 16, 2001 Share Posted March 16, 2001 I did my usual "hit every common key to try to speed things up" trick, and found that pressing Space stops the music, at least on my PC. Doug Williams Posted March 16, 2001 Share Posted March 16, 2001 I found that removing the WAV didn't help, as the game then goes to the CD and finds it there. Better to change the WAV to something else. I changed it to the "click" sound. I did the same thing with the explosion WAV you hear when you exit the game. Much less annoying. Most applications have some .cfg or .ini file that you can alter to stop the CD from running constantly. It only runs at startup, when it is searching for that initial tune and the video. In many games, not all, there is a way to disable that so it won't do that. I always just hit the space bar and it goes onto the game, but never the less it has already spun up the CD.
