I spend most of my time trying to salvage hacked-together jobs submitted by amateurs using Windows. A few points: *Despite the age of its underpinnings, the Mac OS *interface* is much easier to use than Windows. I use both platforms extensively on a daily basis, as well as specialized Unix boxes. For ease-of-use, Macs win handily." *Macs have always been much easier for end users to troubleshoot and maintain. That's partly why PC-biased IT people have always hated Macs--if users don't need constant support from the high priests of digital arcana, how do you justify the expense of a large support staff? "Welcome to the 20th Century"?!! Have we conveniently forgotten just whose "modern" OS forced the corporate world to spend hundreds of millions of dollars over a simple date change? Does Y2K ring a bell? In Douglas Adams' immortal words: "Apple Computer -- we may not have got everything right, but at least we knew the century was going to end." Whats that Bill Gates quote again?
