To be honest I haven't bothered keeping track of the vehicles that are going to be included in CM (Hawk is now hurriedly putting on his flame proof flak-west and helmet), but I sugest you search the board and read Fionn's excellent review at MadMatt's CMHQ on TGN. That will show you all the german vehicles at least.

If the above in any way insulted you, you have my heartfelt apologies, and sympathy! biggrin.gif

I think there's actually a couple of vehicles which have been added recently above and beyond that list...

Also, when you say "All models of Sherman" you are talking of 12 to 15 different vehicles wink.gif. MASSIVE undertaking wink.gif...

The list which is posted at the beginning of this thread is TINY compared to what's in if you listed each and every Mark of vehicle included.

Speaking of vehicles....

TCM (Turner Classic Movies) was playing Henry Fonda's "Battle of the Bulge" last night. I am trying to figure out what type of tank they used to portray the King Tigers. The American tanks were clearly M24 Chaffees. Which I find odd, 'cause didn't the American National Guard use Shermans for a time even after Korea?

The King Tigers looked a bit like M26 Pershings. The turret looked about right, but the chassis didn't look right. (Used CombatHQ's POTD to compare.) Might have been a modified M41, but I don't know too much about Korean War era tanks.

By the way, what were the tanks used by the Americans in "Patton"?

M47's were used in Battle of the Bulge as I recall not having seen it in ten years or so and in Patton it was the M48A2 I believe which was a nice semi ironic touch. I haven't seen Patton since it was at the theaters in the 70's so the exact model variation might be different (not the A2)

OK, here is a list that I haven't touched up for minor variants. Therefore, there are more things in the game now, totally done, than this list indicates. There are also about a dozen that are in various forms of completion.

So here is the list in absolutely no particular order smile.gif

Man, these are a LOT of work!!! We figure we have had to put in about as many man hours into the models as we did code. Well, at least the end result looks nice wink.gif

OK, here's a stupid question based on the above list. Whats the difference between the SPW 250/1 or 7 or 8 or 9 or the SPW251/1 halftrack?

There are no stupid questions...

The number after the slash indicates a variant mounting different weapons. The 251/1 mounts machine guns, the 251/9 mounts a short 75mm... The list is a long one.

German HT's my favorite.

Goanna I hope this helps.

251/1 full sized vehicle, full squad transport.

250/1 smaller version, half squad transport.

I think MOST of these variants are the same for both the 251/1 and the 250/1.

Sdkfz 251/1 Ausf. A 1938.

Sdkfz 251/1 Ausf. B 1939 -1940

Sdkfz 251/1 Ausf. C 1940 - 1943

Sdkfz 251/1 Ausf. D 1943 till the end (Cm version)

251/2 80mm mortar.

251/3 radio command vehicle (four subvariants).

251/4 towed 37mm, 75mm, 105mm guns, crew and ammo.

251/5 engineer version.

251/6 radio, decoding and cryptographic.

251/7 late version engineer.

251/8 ambulance.

251/9 mounted 75mm short.

251/10 mounted 37mm.

251/11 used for laying phone lines.

251/12 artillery survey.

251/16 mounted two flame throwers.

251/17 mounted 20mm FLAK.

251/18 HQ observation vehicle.

251/19 mobile phone exchange.

251/20 mounted infra-red passive searchlight.

251/21 mounted triple 15-20mm anti-air.

251-22 mounted 75mm long ATG

ps: Steve the The 251/1 ausf. C version in the demo looks great. I hear that the final release version will look even better, I cant wait to see them. Will there be any B or C models in the game?

Take care all,

John

The Monday POTD on Madmatts site shows a Sdkfz 251/7 but it is labeld as a Sdkfz 7 (un-armored veriant). Sory Steve not trying to nitpick.

Take care

John
