When I press "alt + I" for Icons, I get my own laptop's "Settings" page! and no icons!  When I press "alt + T" for trees, I get my laptop's 'wallpaper photo'!  Dear Sir or adam, is this a glitsch in the game, and can I get rid of it?  Please

I think you have some app (installed by default "bloatware") on your laptop that overrides the shortcuts for Combat Mission. Probably something that takes up space/resources anyway. I have a ThinkPad (for work) and a Razer (for CM), no problem with the shortcuts in game.

Put the attached text file in the Data folder. This will ensure that you have the default hot key file. Your issue may be as simple as that.
