Go and Play.... After that, I'd say go to CMHQ (http://combathq.thegamers.net/) and download the mods you like best. It really does add a lot to the game. After you play a while with those, come and get the 1.1b23 patch. And just enjoy the game in the latest stage. The only reason I suggest you do it in increments is because: 1. You'll be playing quicker 2. You don't NEED 1.1b23 just yet (even though it does rock) 3. The mods add a lot, but take some time on slow connection to download... 4. Get and install the MadMatt Mod Pack; 5. Visit the 3rd Party Mod section in CMHQ, install them all you like. 6. Get all scenarioes from Wild Bill Wilder and his WB Raiders; 7. Get the CM scenarioes/operations database and see what scenarioes are available 8. Read all the tactics discussions; tutorials and papers in the forums and around the Combat Missions Web Ring; 9. If you really want to play head-to-head against another hunam player, but don't mind the glitches, get the beta patch; 10. Kiss your old life, family, work, food, water goodbye.
