THH149
I've been mucking around with scenario editing and got my creation to a point where I'd like to see it with units on the board. But, it is saved with a .btt file extension when all other saved games are using .bts and so wont load as a scenario. Is there light anyone can shed on this? How to convert the file to .bts? Thanks THH Edited December 4, 2020 by THH149
Combatintman
.btt is the scenario file name extension and .bts is the save game file extension. To open a .btt file you just go into the main menu and click the 'battle' button and find your chosen scenario. If you save it at any point and exit the game, you will open it using the 'saved game' button. You don't need to convert .btt to .bts and I suspect it is not something that you can do anyway. You do need to make sure that your draft scenario is saved in the Scenarios folder within the Game Files directory or it won't appear on the list of playable scenarios when you click the battle button.
Sgt.Squarehead
I wish you could open final turn .bts in the editor (you could in CM1). Edited December 4, 2020 by Sgt.Squarehead

Sgt.Squarehead
I know, but everyone blows stuff up a bit differently.....You know how it is. TBH what we're skirting around here is Persistent Map Damage.....Again. Edited December 5, 2020 by Sgt.Squarehead

MikeyD
If you're trying to see your map as a QB the game won't recognize it (in the QB map folder) if the map doesn't include AI orders sets.
Sgt.Squarehead
Are there any precise guidelines to writing AI scripts for QBs (as opposed to scenarios)?
