user1000
How many of these were used toward the end of the war? Didn't airborne have a bunch? Edited May 24, 2016 by user1000
panzersaurkrautwerfer
At a glance, actually it looks like they only just barely made it into service in the very late war Pacific fighting, with most US sniper weapons being M1903A4 based.

MikeyD
This topic almost brings tears to my eyes. Almost made it into the game until someone checked ETO availability dates (D'oh!). I guess no harm in showing somethin' y'all are never going to see, unless BFC decides to do a CM:Okinawa title someday. What little I know of the topic, during production drilling for the scope attachment warped the receiver and decreased accuracy. So mucho redesigning and retesting 'til the gun was finally fielded.
user1000
Thanks guys. Tried looking and bypassing google and wiki mainstream stuff to look for stuff that has never made it to the internet, on the Garand Sniper and couldn't really find aynthing. Just a bunch of sites saying M1C was put out and used during ww2 not going into much detail on the theaters used in. I even checked springfield armory museum page but couldn't find anything. I will still search. Edited May 24, 2016 by user1000
Ts4EVER
Regarding your airborne comment: Note that the Airborne TOE doesn't even have Springfields.
