Doodlebug
Thank you for posting this. A powerful and sobering presentation, and a superbly effective use of the whole medium to visualise what could otherwise be a set of bone-dry statistics. Absolutely puts the numbers into a comprehensible, human and individual scale. That's a clever thing to do given the scope of the subject. Kudos to the original producer and associates and for linking it here.

IronCat60
What a excellent way to put it all into perspective. And it really clarifies the Russian strategic thinking during the cold war. They never wanted a invasion of the motherland to ever happen again. And the numbers show why. During the recent May Day parade Putin made remarks about how the Western powers have trivialized the efforts of the Russian's to defeat the Nazis. Yes the Western Allied powers contributed greatly to the defeat of the Nazis, but the Russians bore the brunt of the effort. And came back from devastating losses to do so. agusto
Statistically speaking, WW2 was largest, most horrible, most gruesome war in the history of mankind. Sadistically speaking, that' s why love to read WW2 history.
