Sequoia
Now I've been playing the CMX2 engine for 6 years counting Shock Force and I've always been meaning to ask this question. One is given the above 3 choices when ordering an artillery strike (plus smoke). Now I understand that an anti-pesonnel mission gives you air bursts, but is there any real difference between General and Armor? As far as I know most indirect artillery does not have an armor piercing round and you'd have to be damn lucky to get a direct hit on an armored vehicle anyway and the artillery rather does its damage by the HE blast so close is good enough. True? Also is the anti-personel round considered a shrapnel round or something similar? Maybe this is all in the manual and if so, sorry. Thanks
Vinnart
Use general against buildings, and vehicles (Uses less, or no air burst from what I recall). Personnel for infantry ( Uses mainly air burst)
Sequoia
Right, but is there really any difference between armor and general in most cases?
akd
Armor is only available in Shock Force. It uses delay fuze.
Rosseau
Was playing CMSF last night, and there is a "general" option. Was wondering, too. I was using general for buildings.
