hogs tooth
Been playing around with 3.0 today and I cant seem to find any hit decals for Panzerfausts. They show up for tank shells, anti tank guns and even Panzerschrecks but not the fausts. Are these going to be added?
akd
They show for me. Sometimes they can be hard to find if they hit in areas without flat surfaces.
kensal
They show for me. Sometimes they can be hard to find if they hit in areas without flat surfaces. The hole created by a faust would be quite small I think
YankeeDog
Yes; the holes for Panzerfausts and HEAT rounds in general are quite small, which I understand is realistic. They're easy to miss, but they're there.
JoMac
Oh, 'Hog Wash' ( pun intended )...Heat Rounds have a small hole, but a bigger splash effect on armor and should be fairly noticable. Joe
hogs tooth
Okay, i'll take you guys word for it until I see it in game. I think maybe the reason I couldn't see them is because fausts tend to hit low on enemy armor due to their trajectory, causing the hole to be in the tracks where it's hard to see.
MikeyD
When a round hits the edge of a track or a protruding bit like a rear view mirror, or something lost in shadows the decal can be very difficult to spot. When it smacks the side of a turret squarely there's no mistaking it.
YankeeDog
Yes; when the hits are down in the tracks and/or running gear, it can be very difficult to spot the hit decals, particularly the smaller ones like HEAT hits.
Michael Emrys
Hit decals for ATRs can be tricky to spot due to the small caliber of the round. On a few occasions I couldn't find one at all. Michael
MikeyD
Yeh, the Italian Solothurn AT gun is badly underutilized. Maybe hit decals will spur their use, see all those tiny non-penetrating bullet strikes on the armor side.
