CMBN-MG Question?

Recommended Posts

Just Preorder M.G for my CMBN-CW Ver 2.01.

I have a question about when I install M.G.? Will the CW forces battles and campaigns

still be there from Ver 2? I know and understand there will be new M.G Battles and campaigns.

Watched the Market Garden series on Youtube. Last night. Sept 17-25 1944.

Have a good one.

Regards

Zane.

I have a question regarding CMBN-MG. If I buy and install the Market-Garden module will I still be able to play my H2H opponents who don't buy it, in the usual way?

Hilts sure. Make a copy of your CMBN game folder, only upgrade one of them, then you will have the best of both worlds.

But I would refuse to play with them until they upgraded. ;)

Hee, Hee except you are better of finishing a game started in 2.01 with 2.01 and start new games using 2.1. Or if you really want to upgrade - which usually works do it in a controlled way and follow the upgrade procedure and make sure your opponent knows and agrees to the plan.

One other thing to consider - after you make the copy of the install remove any mods from the folder you are going to upgrade - before you upgrade.

That sounds like a plan Bill, thanks. Are you saying I can just copy the CMBN folder as is, to give me two copies of the game on my machine without the necessity of a re-activation? If this is so I presume it will be best to put the copy in a different place to make upgrading easier....right?

I can see a potential problem with H2HH though with two versions of the same game running.

It may be easier as you say to persuade the other guys to buy the module as well....I'm working on that! Lol

Yes Ian, I will finish battles started in 2.01 first unless the others buy the module also in which case they should be able to be finished off in 2.1

Thanks for the reminder about the mods.....
