majorbly50
Is there a way to surround a lot of units like in a real Rts game? I've tried holding the left mouse button down and then drag a small square around a bunch of units but that doesn't seem to work? How do you get a large group of units to light up? thanks for help.
Amatoro
Just hold shift while dragging (with left mouse button) a square around your units.

A Canadian Cat
You can also select all the units in a platoon by double clicking on a unit (note that also selects any vehicles that are part of the platoon). I once accidentally sent a horde of trucks driving across a field unexpectedly because I group moved a platoon in the cover of woods forgetting they left their transport 500m back. Same goes for higher level HQ units as well. Double clicking a company HQ will select the whole company, battalion same. Those are less useful for bulk moving but might be good for a hide the entire company if they come under artillery fire.
PeterH
Hiding your men increases the survivability of an artillery bombardment? Realistic and awesome. Totally unexpected! This game continues to impress and shame me.
majorbly50
this game continues to beat the crap out of me when its on defense. I used to beat old CM games easily when the ai was on defense but not this one yet. I like an ai that's not brain dead. so far this one is a challenge.
womble
Hiding your men increases the survivability of an artillery bombardment? Realistic and awesome. Totally unexpected! Hide encourages them to remain on their bellies. Unless airbursts are happening, your pTruppen will present less of a target to the shrapnel from shell bursts which tends to have a large horizontal element.
mjkerner
The game tracks every single projectile; bullets for certain, and at least in some abstract way, shrapnel, so finding cover, depressions, Hide Command all help preserve your pixiltruppen. Welcome aboard Pete and majorly!
