kensal
Possibly a tech question but I have not yet purchased CMFI because (a) I am quite new to CMBN and am still enjoying working through that and ( because a Mac user I had could not get CMBN ver 2.0 working until the 2.01 patch came out. My question is whether the CMFI engine (which I think is the same as ver 2.0 for CMBN) has the same Mac issue, in which case I should wait for a CMFI patch to resolve it. Apologies if someone has already dealt with this query elsewhere
pord
I don't know if your issue is specific to your type of mac, but I have been running CM:FI on my mac with no problems.

Michael Emrys
And I was able to run BN on my three year old iMac from the day it came out. Same for FI. Michael
Battlefront.com
I can say that we've haven't heard of any issue with people unable to get CMBN v1.0 or later running on their Mac. At least not after some troubleshooting someone's specific configuration or installation process. CMFI v1.x is basically the same as CMBN v2.0 in terms of the graphics and various other changes. Check out the CMFI demo. If it works for you then so will the full version. Steve
jeffsmith
There was a "loading issue to crash/freeze" with certain older Macs running OSX 10.6.x (Including mine) with CMFI & CMBN 2.0 It was fixed with CMBN 2.01 & the next CMFI patch should have the fix too
Battlefront.com
Ah, yes there was that. Phil finally (with your help, I am told!) tracked down a nasty compiler bug (IIRC) that was behaving badly with older OSX configurations. But it sounded like the original poster couldn't get the game to run at all. I'm not aware of that happening. Steve
