noxnoctum
How challenging is this campaign? I'm thinking of trying it but only if it's hard  I get bored otherwise sometimes.
noxnoctum
Has no one played it here? I know a few people did some AARs a while back.
agusto
It depends on how good you are at the game if a campaign is challenging or not. If i remember correctly, you will have numerical superiority in all battles of Die Letzte Hoffnung unless you take too many casualties.
TheVulture
I did an AAR about a year ago, although only for the first two missions before real life got in the way. The first mission is pretty easy, but after that it gets more difficult. Not hard in the "School of hard knocks" / "Razorback ridge" way (to name two of the scenarios from the road to Monteburg campaign that caused legendary flutters on these forums - but part of the difficulty of those came from accepting that you were going to have to take a lot of casualties no matter what you did). If you have solid tactics and are patient you can win comfortably, but Field Marshal Blucher (who designed the campaign) seems to specialise in situations that punish you if you get a bit hasty / careless / unlucky. The campaign was a lot of fun for me though.
OrdeaL
Best two campaigns out imo!
Erwin
DLH is a v good campaign. The trick to make games hard is to set yourself low casualties (<10%) as your primary goal. Courage & Fortitude is probably the hardest of all.
womble
..."School of hard knocks" / "Razorback ridge"...from the road to Monteburg... School and Razorback Ridge are from the Courage and Fortitude campaign, rather than Road to Montebourg.
