Michael Emrys
It is now much harder to "break" one of my battles by throwing lives into the fire to achieve objectives. I should think cranking up the cost of friendly casualties would be one way. That would lead to a lot of Pyrrhic "victories" in that the objective might have been secured but at the cost of over half of one's force dead or wounded. Jaeger Jonzo
Crickey I have been fighting cm since cmbo first came out and I can't say I've ever micro managed my force selections criteria to the extent you guys are referring to. I thought the gamey side had been opponents always trying to pick the best afvs or elite infantry but now it sounds like I also have to watch out for units of highly motivated, fanatical, officer cadres hand picked out of their parent formations! ...jeesh. ..retreats back into his bunker for more solo play
Georgie
Vanir, What is the advantage of playing with conscript tanks? Both sides I would imagine.
Vanir Ausf B
Vanir, What is the advantage of playing with conscript tanks? Both sides I would imagine. I think it makes their performance more realistic. Tanks in CM can do things that no tank in real life could, such as instant communications between crewmen.

I'll give it a try in the scenario that I am working on.

Tanks in CM can do things that no tank in real life could, such as instant communications between crewmen. It would be great if tank "behaviour" could be tweaked in the future so that things would work more like when humans do part of the stuff. Like comms adding delays, crew member aiming probably isn't as accurate and fast as today's computers and so on. Now some things are closer to how things work in modern tanks.
Quintus Sertorius
In my years of playing wargames against live opponents I found them to be a totally unscrupulous lot. Ha! I agree, and not just for wargames.
