JP Jones
Can I have both versions installed at the same time? I have a friend that will not upgrade to 2.0, so I want to be able selectably to play both. JP Jones

sburke
I have 4 versions of CM on my PC. If a heavily modded scenario comes out (LLFs Makin for example) I tend to create one just for that. Ease of use - don't have to worry about mod conflicts etc. I have had at time multiple installs based on version as well. CMBN is a bit nicer than CMSF for this. So yes, most definitely you can keep as many installs and versions as you want. bit early in the day in Tokyo eh?
JP Jones
OK, cool. Care to elaborate on how I go about setting this up?
JonS
Do another install, from scratch, specifying a different directory location to which you want it installed. Then progressively upgrade to the level you desire.
JP Jones
ok. I seem to recall something like just saving the proper version .exe file that you wanted to launch in the old CMBO, BB, AK, CM1x games. That doesnt work in these CM2x games?

I think it used to, but since CMFI I'm a bit leery of that approach.
GreenAsJade
It's almost certainly not that easy any more. The different game versions have more "stuff" in the Data folder, so once you have v2.0 stuff in the Data folder, it seems highly likely that you'll be getting 2.0 stuff. Hence ... separate install for separate versions is the safest thing. GaJ
