Doug Williams
Sandahl Bergman, the subject of many-a-boy's fantasy since Conan the Barbararian. I still think she kicks ass right up there with Sigourney Weaver. Oh, and BFC....nice try.

Doug Williams
Yes, I was wrong. This is not an April Fool's joke, though I wish it was. BFC is dumbing down it's product, and bowing to making $$ in lieu of making quality computer wargames. An iPad Combat Mission? Really? rune? You endorse this? Really? I expected better. Rock on, bro.

Doug Williams
Put me down as whatever you want. I have been a staunch, vocal supporter of BFC since the demo of CMBO, way longer than most of the posters on this forum. I don't hide behind cute usernames or any other bull****. If you want to contact me you can e-mail kb4oer [at] gmail [dot] com. I've been playing wargames since cardboard Panzerblitz. If BFC wants to venture into the iPad apps business, then good for them. If they are doing it at the expense of developing serious Combat Mission further.....then they have lost me as a customer. I hope, very much hope, that is not the case. If so, good luck competing with Angry Birds.

It's been mentioned multiple times that this iPad game was developed by a 3rd party team, so... you can quit freaking out that CM's precious bodily fluids are being contaminated.
Medex
I wonder if Conan would approve of CM:Touch. He could play it while he rides his horse to the next slaughterfest.

Heh... this gives me the imagery of CM's devs (including Betas) only playing CM touch in sterile environments and then going through a decontamination process afterwards... A friend has an I-pad and I gave him $5 and told him it was for the app. Hopefully I'll get to see it first hand today. I don't rule out the possibility of feature cross-over though. Who knows, there might be a little gem in CM touch that would improve some aspect of CM (interface wise or whatever).
YankeeDog
Who knows, there might be a little gem in CM touch that would improve some aspect of CM (interface wise or whatever). There are several I've already noticed already, actually: - You adjust waypoints after you've plotted them. - Actual expected path of unit is shown after you plot a waypoint. - Setup zones are indicated by colored "fences" rather than painted areas, which IMHO is a MUCH better way of doing it.

I don't read every post on these forums, so I missed that. If a 3rd party developed the iPad version, and it hasn't detracted from the further developement of "real" CM, then I really don't have a problem with it. Sorry for "freaking out".
