Multiplayer Games

Hi all

Firstly I must say how happy with this game. At last a game that is better than the Close Combat Series.

However where is everyone hanging out to find other players for RT Multiplayer H2H. I am not interested in any PBEM.

I have had a look around but cannot find such a place anywhere where players are hanging out.

Is there a chat channel or a lobby anywhere?

Try the Steam group, there is a higher proportion of RT players there.

In my opinion, RT is fun for a few games but between the lag and bugs it loses it's luster. PBEM is where it's at, much more tension and strategy involved. If you have H2H Helper and Dropbox it makes it a breeze to exchange files. At least give it a shot, I was all about RT at first, but PBEM won me over 100% after a few games.

I'd be up for "real time" WEGO if you're interested. I'm not much for PBEM just because I would rather play one battle for a few hours one day then 10 minutes every day spread out over a 2 months .

(by real time I just mean we could take turns playing wego and uploading the file via dropbox, not ideal like tcp-ip wego in CMx1 in that we have to take turns but better than nothing)

I don't enjoy RT simply because I can't take the time to zoom in and observe the battle and your situational awareness goes out the window with anything bigger than platoon level combat.

Yeah Steam is good for RT MP, I haven't used it for ages though.

Question, are you talking about Steam game service for finding opponents? Is that h2h helper similar to the pbem helper program?

You use the Steam group to initiate an instant message chat thingy to arrange a game, that way you're talking to them when they're online (and can hopefully play) and you don't have to spend 6 posts trying to arrange a specific time when you're both online

I'm the same way.... but is "real time" multiplayer WEGO an option? I thought it wasn't presently.

I as well have been wishing for more real time options esp WEGO TCP . Would love to find some opponents for modified RT play using GaJ H2H and dropbox, coordinated in real time. Message me if interested.
