As someone in the creative field, I don't know whether to feel amazed or depressed that this AI will probably take my job soon.
Also, I feel insulted that it didn't mention any of my scenarios ;(
As a copywriter, I feel you. But to be honest, a lot of what ChatGPT writes is ****.

Heer NCOs and Officers dont show up with smocks in CMFB and CMBN, despite textures existing for them.
Ha, I was going to post this. This is also an issue in CMFB.

+1. Interesting stuff. IMO these rules are the best way to play vs the AI.
Is there a link to this rules set?

Yeah, dimwits from very rural Oregon counties want to leave evil liberal Oregon and go to Idaho. YES PLEASE! Your counties take in WAY more state money than you pay in taxes. So take your stupid a--es to Idaho and let them pay to keep your roads open & maintained & your power on & all your medicaid expenses and law enforcement. The evil liberals thank you for reducing their tax burden . I just did my taxes and owe the state an extra $2800, which I suppose would be less if I wasn't subsidizing these folks.
Beleg85 video above was great. I read what it was first and don't understand ukrainian and still burst out laughing when he was stuffing his mouth w sushi. Great one.
Meanwhile, more mud. Maybe this is OK for now. I bet UKR would like more time to prepare for the spring offensives and this mud will make RU attacks that much more difficult.
Ah yes, the state of "Jefferson" I always chuckle seeing the signs when I drive down the 5.

OK my
guesswish here: the BP will be dedicated to post-Dragoon operations; one campaign will feature the French forces battling their way inside Marseille. This would be great.

All battles that deserve more attention. I agree. Especially the fighting for Eastern Prussia, Bautzen and Lauban.
Agreed. No one talks about these battles, and I believe some of them were actually decisive victories for the Wehrmacht. I think the siege of Vienna would also be interesting.

Which maps have AI plans?
-
It would be nice to see some sort of coherency between infantry and armor when it came to advancing together. I've seen plenty of videos of infantry using a tank to cover them from small arms.

You make some beautiful maps my guy

There is a split team option for the 4 men scout team.
but yes, you are right, looks like the AT4 stopped the Javelin deployment.
And I thought the one with Javelin ATGM launcher will refuse to take the AT4 from HMMWV. Wrong! Looks like we got to be very very careful about this in the future.
Right? This almost seems like it needs to be patched out. Really threw a wrench in my plan!

I recommend using:
Conscript

+2.
Seems to match up pretty nicely given the enormous amount of combat footage we have.
There goes your SMG ammo in the WW2 titles

I can do some test tomorrow, but how did you get the Javelin gunner loaded with AT4?
Also, does split the team help?
In the deployment phase all of 4 man scout teams were in Humvees. I was able to acquire the AT4's from them.
You can't split this 4 man team up.
-
Ok! So I just had a four-man team expend all of their AT4's. THEN the Javelin gunner used his Javelin. So whatever kit you acquire second is what they use first???

is the 4th section/1 scout plt the one you are talking about?
Yep! 4th section/3rd section of 1st platoon as well as 3rd section of 3rd platoon. None of them fire. I feel like it might have something to do with the javelin gunner having an AT4 on his back.
-
The soldiers are in a two-story house trying to target a T-72b that is 900 meters away. They are not hiding, they have windows and full view of the tank. Is it possible because I gave all four of them at4's and the Javelin launcher is "hidden" that they can't use it? Too much equipment, perhaps?
Here's my save plus the scenario. Not sure if this is modded or not.

Do they have ammunition? Are you using target arcs?
Does the javelin gunner have visibility on the tanks? Not via the target tool, since that's unit-level, I mean the actual javelin gunner.
Does the second floor have windows in the direction of incoming armour?
Is the team set on "hide"? They will not open fire in this state until they are engaged, unless you use a target arc and the enemy enters it.
What version are you playing on?
Yes to all of these, although I'm not exactly sure how to gauge the sight of a single pixeltruppen, but I do have a blue line on the target tool. I'm playing on the very latest version.
-
Playing the defensive mission "Opening Encounter" I have my javelin teams in several 2nd story buildings. They have full vision of the incoming T-72's but don't fire at them, the tanks roll closer and take them out one by one. Using armor targeting, direct targeting or simply letting them decide yields nothing. What am I doing wrong?
-
Perhaps a repost here, but this is a pretty interesting interaction between Wagner PMC and Russian Regulars. According to the commenter below, they weren't mincing words.

That scenario should only be played as the Soviets bud??? When played as the soviets the AI sets the Germans up correctly. Cheers
Nope, I was playing as the Soviets. The German troops have their guns facing the wrong direction, and a lot of squads are just in the front of the buildings, no cover. It's minor, but I just thought I'd let ya know
-
Assault on the Reichstag mission is really cool, but I don't think the Germans are set up properly. Their AT guns are facing the wrong way and the vast amount of their infantry are just deployed out in the open in front of the Reichstag.

My opinion is the next BP should include the Italian forces of the RSI and the mods of the Italian vehicles captured by the Wermacht after the operation Achse and also all the battles that took place in the Po valley up to the liberation of the big cities of Northern Italy
As much as I would love for an Italian civil war type scenario, BP's unfortunately don't add units or factions.

Ortona ortona ortona ortona!
Or perhaps something with French or Indian troops, since they aren't widely used in Rome to Victory.

Several days ago, RT "correspondent" showed video of direct combat at barrel length, when Russians sneaked into UA trench. One brave defender engaged them at closest possible distance... soldier get defeated and shot unfortunatelly at literally bayonet range (none of combatants have the blades, throug). Soon it will also be like in WWI- return of cold steel...
Yeah, his videos shows real "face of battle" of this conflict, especially regarding communication difficulties. It seems from descriptions at the end that these infantrymen were too long clearing this buidling and Russian artillery somehow managed to target them.
Absolutely. I was remarking to myself as I watched that it seemed there was a lack of coordination. The chaos of war. RIP to the fallen.

A great tool to use in circumstances. I find that it's structuring can give a nice template. But I highly doubt it will upend human creativity... yet.
