  1. I've added six AT-14 squads to my force in QB. What surprises me a lot - they all have different amount of missiles in stocks ranging from 10 to 15. How can this be?
  2. Ukranians and not united in their views and opinions. That is essential problem of Ukraine as political entity. People I know from Eastern Ukraine express strong pro-Russian sentiments while Western Ukranians of pro-Westerners. So, when your are talking about Ukraninans your should be careful to mention what kind of Ukranians you are referring to
  3. Yeah, It is like Jutland battle. Every side says it has won Right now we have too few hard facts and every of then is interpreted differently depending in who you are. There is not unity eveng among Russians. There are a lot of "pro-Russian" Russians and a lot of "pro-Western" Russians These to groups interpret same events absolutely differently
  4. It's not only information that comes to us, it's also our own biases. The point is that it's all happening right now and I'am personally involved to some extent. I have relatives in Ukraine and many people I know are from Ukraine. For example, workers that built my country house are from Lisichansk - a small town near Lughansk that saw heavy action. It affects the way I'am filtering incoming information and I perfectly aware of it.
  5. I think today all we a bit too involved into situation. No media coverage is unbiased. May be 10 year into the future we will get some answers.
  6. Looks like this is a real cause. Calling precision strike against vehicle in open terrain was no problem.
  7. CMBS actually has precision munitions for Russian artillery. At least Krasnopol laser guided 152mm howitzer round is present in game and I've managed to call precision strike (finally). IRL: Soviet Union and Russia has developed series of guided munitions for howitzers and mortars: "Santimeter", "Smyelchak", "Krasnopol". AFAIK, all are laser-guided.
  8. They have It is strange, but when I've targeted another vehicle "precision" mission type appeared in list of artillery mission types.
  9. Playing Russians. I have off-map howitzers with Krasnopol rounds. My Forward Observers are equipped with laser designators. I'am calling in fire mission, selecting vehicle as target, but there is no option to select precision strike as type of mission or used munition.
  10. I've tried this engagement ~10 times. Every time BMP got all it's rounds hit and penetrate M2 side armour. Every time BMP was spotted only after it successfully put whole burst into M2. Once M2 was neturalized by destroying engine. All other times M2 got non-critical damage (like TOW or optics damage) and managed to fire back and destroy BMP.
  11. Yeah, putting BMP against M2 in 1 vs 1 scenario is not fair game. After all, M2 is twice as heavy and is more a tank than IFV by Soviet standards. I've just managed to kill APS-protected Bradley with three BMP and ATGM team. That was quite funny engagement
  12. I have absoutely fantastic solution to problem in discussion. Let game will detect country of player and give bonuses to it's side Btw, It would be nice if developers publish their sources on every piece of equipment and unit composition.
  13. BMP-2 gun doesn't need to be reloaded. It is fed from two belts containing all rounds BMP carry. Range is ~500m, all rounds hit target. The problem is that BMP fires 5-7 rounds in first burst and then waits for few seconds. That is enought for Bradley to face is with turret/and or hull. Since that BMP is doomed.
  14. I have quite interesting situaton: my BMP has sneaked behind Bradley and is engaging it from the flank. But stupid BMP crew shoots only few rounds of 30 mm and then wait for some time to fire another burst. Bradley is thick skinned beast and has high probability of surviving several penetrations from BMP cannon. So it just swallows rounds and destroys BMP. I suppose that prolonged burst would have much higher probability of taking out Bradley before it can fire back. But how to make my crew do that?
  15. What is absolutely fantastic about this game is high quality of small details. I love grass and flowers on fields
  16. Can I view detailed list of killed soldiers after mission?
  17. When they shot at my BMP, enemy troop icon clearly said it was ATGM squad with Javelin.
  18. I'very finished another QA yesterday. One thing surprised me. My vehicles were engaged with ATGM from distant forest. I didn't get there and finished game by capturing VPs. But when I reviewed map in aftermath of the battle, there was no enemy units of appropriate types. Only few scouts and HQ squads. How could this happen?
  19. Actually Russian media stated that AK-12 will be supplied to "elite" troops that are being reequipped to "Ratnik" infantry equipment suite. It said that in 2015 fifty to seventy thouthands "Ratniks" will be supplied.
  20. Does rounds flying by infantry unit cause suppression, even if rounds fall well behind target unit? Or suppression is caused only by rounds hitting ground near target unit? Have some troubles suppressing enemy squads on reverse slope or in lowered ground.
  21. Particulary it would be interesting to compare game style of player with real military education vs experienced player who has developed skills via gaming only.
  22. Hm. That would be quite interesting to see, how real world commanding officer would play this game And what he would say about it. I've heard some feedback from real world pilots about flight simulators (like IL-2 or DCS), but still no feedback from real world commanders about tactical games
