Ah okay. @NPye should know then.

I did take another look at the Scenario Editor having gathered up some of my wayward marbles. I managed to work out how to delete the flyboys altogether. So, I won't have them bombing me when I give it another go.

I'll still probably lose the battle but that is another story.

Hm... if you´ve not tried yet I´d try the following. Giving your flyboys some required pre battle intel on enemy meaty targets. Give germans (AIP) some immobilized vehicles (a truck will do oftenly) and place them where you want your air support doing some trouble. Set pre battle friendly intel to 100% BUT make everybody else (AIP forces) a "reinforcement". Pity is earliest arrival is 5 minutes into the game unfortunately. Off course in order to have these reinforcements beeing placed exactly like you did during AI forces setup, there got to be no setup zones placed for them. IIRC I got this to work in a mission of mine, though with different type of map (forested) and situation.

I didn't create the scenario. It is @NPye's work. I wouldn't know how to make any of the changes that you suggest. It was as much as my old brain could manage editing out some of the private cars.

lol. Not much I can do about that as we have no control over our own Air Units......

No, I remember the same thing happening in a Stalingrad mini-campaign some years back.

The first few flyboys on the scene attacked the German positions near the Kanzlei, but this one decided a large mass of Russians would make a better target. In my experience planes and built-up areas don't mix.

Did you play the Chancellery map?

Yes, I was giving my slight reworking of it a go, having removed a lot of the private cars. Which I entitled "Neues Reichskanzlei". And I was enjoying it up until my reinforcements arrived, and my flyboys started attacking my Set-up zone. I was not impressed.

No, it's a Shaston Farthing from 1665 (image from the web). I'm originally from there, so this is my payment for copyright licence to @Warts 'n' all who was C-in-C of the New Model Army back about then, figured it was probably about a week's wages, so pretty good recompense I'd say.

Whilst it is always good for the ego to get a mention on these pages. The good Lord above would like it pointed out that I had been abiding with him since 1658. So, that coin is just a tad after my time.

In democracies most politicians get voted out. Five years was a good run he needed a holiday.

He did a decent job as Minister of Defence (a post he created himself) once he had Alan Brooke to hold his hand. Whilst, Atlee, Morrison, and Ernie Bevin ran the country, something the voters clocked onto.

In the meantime I'm off to play "Neues Reichskanzlei" my (very slight) reworking of Mr. Pye's recent offering.

Glad you like bud... I used them to pack the streets out with clutter but know what you mean. Cheers

Yeah, I think overall the way you have littered the streets with debris and knocked out vehicles looks great. I certainly won't be editing it much more than the private cars.

Ah but PC plod seems to be directing traffic in toy town.

Yeah I'm not sure how our "toy town" would have fared had it found itself in the front line. Taking the eastern end of the bridge parapet away to give our boys in the Westborough a clear shot at Gerry might not have been enough.

I can see your house up on the hill but I didn't know you were asked to re-deploy your drainage...

What you can see "up" in the background is a church. Below it is a palace which Henry the Gross stole off of the one true and apostolic church in the 1500's. I don't think PC Plod's wages would have stretched to renting it. Sadly, the warehouses in the left foreground were destroyed in the name of progress in 1959.

Interestingly the moveable tank traps that would have filled the gap that the car is going through lay alongside the bridge until the late 1970's.

Everyone knows Phil has a big helmet 😬....

I remember as a somewhat innocent teen hearing my old dad shout "Helmet" at one of the blokes who played in the football team that he ran, whilst he walked through town minding his own business.

Me - Why did you call J***** "Helmet"?

    Him - Cuz 'es a K*** Head.

Ah, the joys of a puritan upbringing.
