  1. I especially agree about bunkers. Perhaps camouflage could be purchased like foxholes and such. Lots of defensive assets - including AFVs, could be made invisible from medium distance by a RL defender. Having said that, that gun was fair game out in the open like that.
  2. The fortifications are not free - it was probably a straight swap in terms of points, if not a loss to GaJ - a few shells are not such an expense, but those foxholes and wire were probably worth a squad or more in points.
  3. I've had good luck with 57s in terms of visibility (only) - they stay well hid. They don't have much punch though...
  4. I'd love it if the game modeled the appearance of camouflaged defensive weapons. I was also a little surprised GaJ couldn't see Bill's infantry moving forward, they weren't crawling. I feel like mine get spotted pretty quick when they advance - I wonder how he does it. Is it because he uses pauses on the waypoints?
  5. I feel like, in an attack/defend battle, assets like AT guns are a bit 'naked'. With a little preparation, they would be quite well camouflaged, and more difficult to spot, until they fired, than is modeled in the game. ...though I guess that gun was quite out in the open.
  6. I thought that ammo figure on the left showed the ammo the crew were carrying. I have some Shermans firing light and that left hand figure isn't going down.
  7. Thanks very much to both of you for these very detailed and interesting AARs. I especially the information about how you set waypoints, pauses etc. I've read a lot of military history, but I don't always know how to translate historical tactics into game mechanics. The images you post are excellent. Absolutely brilliant. I followed the last battle you guys did, and I went back and read the Niscemi Highway AAR, which was also fascinating. It's a beautiful map, too.
  8. I read that the Italians were said to have put up a very valiant doomed rearguard at El Alamein to cover Rommel's retreat.
  9. Normandy and Italy are both awesome, but I'm also really looking forward to 'CMBB'x2
  10. I seem to recall one could add a time delay to an already-prepared strike in CMBB
  11. Having plotted an artillery strike, is it possible to adjust it without beginning again from scratch. For example, can one add extra time-delay, or is the only option to begin over...?
  12. BTW, both CMBN and CMFI are wonderful games. I used to love the old CM series - I went nuts on CMBB (especially), until I had to upgrade my Mac beyond the point they were playable. Many thanks for providing Mac versions of the new ones .
  13. This is probably a silly question, but where in the ToE are the Panzer III and the M8 Armoured Car...? ~Freyberg
