Wow i fixed it! I love Battlefront again...just make this easier...

:mad::mad: I have pd to download your module...which I have bought every single Combat mission since shock force...I never complain about anything, but this is ridiculous! I downloaded the pack...entered the 3.0 lic key for Normandy...started it everything was good then I wen back to activate the other modules again...which we should not have to...it asks me for the Normandy lic key again...well now the it will not work!!!!! Really?!? I have done the 3.0 key and even tried the original and it will not work...what the heck! Does anyone know how to fix this so I don't lose anything or spend half a day trying to fix this!

Really enjoy reading Bill's AARs! I also enjoy looking at the new features in the game, but i have to agree with others on here... The movie mode takes a lot away for me. I want to see the game...the new art work etc as well, it looks depressing. The real world is much brighter. I spent many of years outdoors in the service as a 19D, hunting, fishing etc...the colors are always vibrate...

Had to interject here....no one is talking to what I believe is the real problem with these mass shootings and it has to do with these brutal first person shooter games. About everyone of these people played these sort of games. The last shooter is said to play them obsessively. All that can do is desensitize someone form killing. Everyone one of these shooters has had this connection. Now to the other point of the random violence in US streets that mainly takes place in the inner city between black youths...that is a much more complicated issues, that right now goes to the inner city culture...how you change that I have no idea. You could pass every gun law you wanted to and they will find a gun and pray on each other or individuals that don't. That is the rub that changes all the statistics and the arguments. Most of these gun laws would prevent the very people who are not causing any of these problems to not be allowed to own a fire arm. So the people it really effects is the people living in the suburbs away from the inner city culture. So the laws solve nothing except punish the law abiding citizens and takes away the means to protect themselves... As far as the assault rifle...it comments like 2 percent of all us homicides...so again it goes to the hand gun and the inner city youths, who typically use cheap revolvers. Lastly...Para...you seem to be baffled as to why americans would fear their government and how you don't...well pick up a history book and take a look at people who have trusted their government in the past. Tell that to the jews in Nazi Germany...or to the people in Cuba when the communist took over, to name a few examples...or the people in other countries who cannot effectively battle their government. One of the things about being an American is that the government works for us and the gun has been a part of that history. Americans have always feared their government or been weary of it. Lastly you stated that the government could crush us...well last I heard the afghans are armed with basically assault rifles and neither, our government, your government nor the russians could beat them...so the rifle still has its place. I have a carry permit and yes I do carry when I feel that I maybe going to a part of town that would warrant it, but Im a country boy so...im well armed anyway!

I would like to find someone that would be willing to sponsor me for We Band Of Brothers. I'm currently a member of the Blitz and I always have at least one head to head game going...the problem I'm having is I currently have 5 games going right now and it looks like. I have had two players disappear on me. I have also had that happen a few times in the past... So I'm looking for more reliable players...and hoping I can find them at We Band Of Brothers if I can find someone that will sponsor me.

If I remember right...battlefront had said that 3.0 would come out towards the end of the year with the next modern war title...but I would say given that Gustav Line is about to come out and we have not seen Market Garden yet...I would assume that we will not see the modern war title with the 3.0 until the first qtr of next year...

So with how long it is taking to Gustav Line to come out and looking at the time line that battle front published in the CMFI thread....I'm beginning to think that it will be a while before we see Market Garden and the Modern War title to be out in the 1st quarter of 2014? Looking forward to Gustav Line!

I have the latest issue...but i have not had access to that battery for 10 min...

I had an artillery mission ready to go...two batteries, one firing smoke the other artillery. when the leader gets hit. Now I have two batteries that I cannot use...they are stuck and this one casualty has completely changed the out come of this scenario leaving my batteries useless! I understand that a leader or spotter gets hit that is going to change things with the mission. There should be a way to have another leader take over the battery etc...this is very frustrating...so in real life another commander could not get on the radio and cancel the mission etc?????? This one casualty has completely changed the scenario!

Bill fights the way we were trained...scouts out! U.S. Military has always been obsessed with intel and information and it is drummed into your head...the four Fs...Find them...Fix them...Flank them and then Finish them...Bill so far has been text book and we are about to see the final F played out "finish them"

Hey Steiner...why don't you just let them play..they have a separate thread for these type of responses at the Peanut Gallery...

Ok...am I wrong or are Steiner and Kettle giving away information in a discrete manner??? It is so irritating...why can't some people just be quiet...I did notice Kettle gave an apology which is good but then it seems that Steiner followed right up with his own assessment...

Togi, This should make you feel better...Steve mentioned this earlier in this thread responding to someone with your exact concern about CMFI...this should make you feel much much better! "Not to worry I purposefully did not add any specifics for Packs and probably left out a Module or two. The reason is we want that stuff to be flexible and pre announcing too far ahead doesn't help with that. Note that the only two Modules listed are the ones we have been talking about for a long time already." So I think you are going to have your add on to CMFI...hope that helps

Agreed...just venting. Tired of reading a post and then for no reason someone brings up the complaint...

I am really sick of reading a thread and someone has to put in how upset they are at the $10.00 upgrade! I'm sick of it and I'm tired of people thinking they should have things for free on someone else's work! 1.) Battlefront does not charge for a patch...let me remind you people what a patch is. A patch is to fix problems that arise from a game. You know things not working the way they are intended. lets say crashes to the game, certain features not working properly etc...Its kind of like buying a car and if you have certain common problems a warranty or a recall may come into play to address the problem at no expense to the customer. 2.) This is an upgrade that improves on the current base game, based on customer feedback of items fans of the game system have asked for! It also adds uniform and vehicle art work etc. The Total War series does this all the time and asks you to pay for it...oh my gosh! You can take the added features or not or wait for the next module to come out...its up to you. This is like a new model year in a car... 3.) People that complain about this are just ungrateful..its the same I want something for nothing crowd but please pay me for my services, but I don't want to pay you for yours. 4.) My last point here is that this is one of the best tactical war games I have ever played. Battlefront puts out a very good product and to me they have done an amazing job and the concept about this platform is brilliant. I may be wrong but it seems like they have created a system that they can continually approve upon, so that when a new version comes out the base game can be upgraded to the new version with all the bells and whistles of the new game. My only complaint is that I would really enjoy it if at some point all the games could be combined into one game..just so I can pit Russians against Brits and Americans etc...In order to keep playing this great game with the features we want Battlefront needs to stay in business. To stay in business they need to make money. Every time they take resources from one place to make an improvement some place else cost money...i.e they maybe taking resources (a coder for example oh and time is a resource) from one project to upgrade another product cost money, because that time could of been spent working on another game. I understand this because I have my own business...I just had to voice my opinion to this...

I thought about that Michael but the problem with that is that is this...lets use this one example. Lets say I want my squad or section to dash from one building to the next...I don't want them to come under fire down the street and they drop and start firing at the enemy in an exposed position...id rather be able to give a move to contact command. That way if I just want them to dash and keep going to the next building even if fired upon I can and the will stop at nothing to get to that building and cover.. In the same instance if I want them to advance quickly and if they come under fire from the front that they will drop and find cover..so it gives you the option depending on your sitituation. I think formations and a movement to contact command that can be added to all movement orders is a must have in an already great great game.

Please give us a movement to contact order battlefront! It can even be a separate command button... For instance....we could press the command button move, quick, fast etc then click another button that says contact...meaning that if they run into enemy they stop, find cover and return fire. If you just want them to dash from one building to another without stopping even if fired upon...you don't press or add so to speak the contact command. This would stop them from running toward there death, but also allow you to tell them to keep going no matter what! So if you need that dash from cover to caver, dont press the contact command! Second allow squads to have formations, which could be a command button as well! I would also like to see a command button that would allow different spacing yards for squad members ...say ten yards 5 yards etc... I think this could all be done and would add a lot to the game!

I actually have no mods installed on any of my games..i fixed it but it ws very unusual some of the information that was coming though...

That information I know is in that application but just how do you open that set up application to show the files?

Something interesting happened when I downloaded the latest patch for Normandy...I should of joted down everything that I saw but I was so frustrated that I thought the patch may have ruined all my saved games etc...they I began to fix the problem promplty. My scenario editor was having all kinds of problems...nothing was right It had a list of all kinds of vehicles not all of which were world war 2...in fact most where modern warfare items...I saw Italien LAVs and Leapard tanks Apache long bows (do not know the nationality of those...some soviet equipement etc. I mean there was a whole tone of modern stuff...I wish I would of wrote it all down
