I played a battle once but I don't remember which one.There was a couple of american platoons or so trying to defend a village from a german attack with armour.I got a section in a lonely house with no antitank weapons and a Tiger tank was coming.I thought it was the end for them but,I didn´t see how, the Tiger was stopped and the crew killed.Didn't know what happen but there were a couple of 60mm mortars behind that house.I supose they killed the Tiger.Is it possible?

I have heard about mortars firing direct fire but I'm not quite sure what's this.I supose it's when the crew of a mortar fires on a target that they can see directly without any help.Am I right? I found a good example here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhyGPxc4gQY&feature=related

I didn't say there aren't new scenarios and armies in CMFI(I know there is the Italian Army for example),I said "new scenarios and armies like...".I would be very interested in a game like CM setted in the Pacific front,for example, and the bloody and fierce battles which took place there.Airborne troops would be replaced by the Marines:cool:

I'm playing CMBN (plus Commonwealth extension) few time ago and I'm not thinking in getting CMFI at the moment.This game looks great but i would prefer to wait for a release with new escenarios and armies like the Pacific with the Japanese or the Eastern Front with the Red Army.

I was seizing a german position where there was a 150mm gun.I had 2 squads.While one of the squads was taking the attention of the canon,I dediced to split an antitank team from the other sqd to knock it down but once they were in optimal conditions to do so they started to fire with their light weapons and not using the bazooka at all until they were discovered and killed by a shell. Why the hell they do that?,it's not the first time that happen.

I have many doubts about ammo sharing.I got an antitank team out of ammo,I sent an ammo carrier member with many rouns( from another team which launcher was killed)to resuply it but nothing happened.What to do?

I don't have any pics and I don't have the program to take them.I wish anybody has one in this forum.I thought the Labirynth was a well know mission for CMBN players.

Hi I'm doing the Road to Montebourg campaign but I'm stuck in the mision called the Labirynth.I tried 4 times with diferent tactics but I failed.In one occasion I acomplished the ground objectives but I didn't pass due to the friendly casualties I sustained. Somebody can help me with some advises?.Thanks.

I love AAR but I have no idea how to make it.I'm playing CMBN but I prefer the terrain from CMFI,probably because it's quite similar to the one at home.I'm from Spain,Catalonia,and I'm living in the Mediterranian area.I'm thinking in posting some pictures of the real terrain where the Battle of Ebro(in the Spanish Civil War)took place.It's very close from where I'm living.

I'm a bit green with CMBN and I just started to play veteran level.Recently,I got a couple of disappointing experiences with the artillery support.Once I established the parameters for a barrage,It fell in the wrong place about 50 o more metres away just over a position that had been taken by my men.Sometimes it falls in another place without any efect. Is this normal?,It usually happens while playing in higher levels(up to veteran) or have anything to do with the observer/officer's skills? How can I solve it?

Thanks for your opinions.I think the movie is pointing so much on accuracy but in a close quarter fighting ,as the one in the bocage,firepower is even more important.You got a nasty surprise playing CMBN for the first time with the americans when a whole squad gets almost wiped out by a single MG-42. I have heard that a very similar case happened in the Vietnam War between the Vietcong's AK-47 and the American M-16 assault rifles.It's told the kalashnikov was less accurate than the M-16 but in a close quarter fighting in the jungle that wasn't as important as it could be in another enviroments and types of combat.In the other hand,the AK-47 was a tougher and a more sturdy weapon that needed less maintenance,a clear advantage under a tropical weather.

I found this interesting video in youtube.It's an old instruction movie from the War Department for the American GI during the Second WW. Is this true or it's just propaganda?,Do you think the firing tests are trustworthy?.

Hi The problem is about the setup window popping up just starting the game sometimes when,in theory,it has already been installed.Isn't a major problem because de game runs as usual after cancelling the setup but it's quiet annoying.How can I fix this?.

I recently installed CMBN,I played it normally but few days ago appeared,at the beginning just in the main menu, an installation window asking me to install the game that was already installed.Did somebody came across with it?,why does it happen?,What I have to do?,Installing the game again?

Hi! Greetings from Spain Thanks for the help,specially to womble.I tried that you told me and it works.Takes a bit to get a gun towed but it's one of that details that I love in a game.I'm looking for realism not a brainless shooting and watching espectacular explosions all over.I used to play with Theatre of War,a great game that I enjoyed a lot but CMBN is another league.

Hi I recently got CMBN and I have been playing for a while.I got an AT gun in a battle and a half-track (along with three tanks) and I tried to tow the canon with it but it didn't work though the vehicle has a hook.How can I do it?,can half-tracks tow guns or only trucks can do it?. Another question is about the available time for battles.Can it be extended in any way?,is there any option or you have to do it with the given time?
