Union rules say it takes 60 seconds to remove boxes from a truck. Sorry but rules are rules. Unless of course you are thinking to unload stuff for the black market.
Unions have been abolished by the order of [insert dictator's name here]. Unless of course comrade, mein Herr, you are instigating a defeatist attitude amongst our troops?

In order to use Acquire, the infantry unit has to enter the vehicle first. A pop-up window lists all available equipment that the unit is eligible to choose from. Clicking on an entry removes the equipment or ammo from the list and places it into the inventory of the passenger unit.
Note: while soldiers automatically can share ammo without explicitly being ordered to (from nearby vehicles, or from nearby infantry units in their formation, as well as through buddy aid), the Acquire command gives you greater direct control.
Note: Units adjacent to an Ammo Dump can also use the Acquire command to obtain ammunition from the Ammo Dump.
Restrictions - only active when the infantry unit is inside a valid pickup area, such
as inside a halftrack or truck, or adjacent to an ammo dump.
From the manual, page 55. So if you can acquire by being next to an ammo dump, same should apply to being next to a truck, rather than in it. Seems like a relatively easy tweak...

J29 - Capture of Balta (Soviets vs Germans - 1941 - Ukraine)
I loved this scenario. Flamethrowers, smoke and fire counters, loads of engineers and then the Rumanians in their funny helmets (only outdone by the Dutch). After you used the flamethrower, roll a die for the wind and how the fire spread.
That was a great scenario

Thanks for that. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure that out as well.

The most lonely, frustrated depressed person in the world must be the guy who writes "the manual." For what-ever product it may be.
Right? But, it must be a pretty secure job.

How you gonna work out "Sewer Movement"? That was funny, roll a 6 and you end up in the wrong building...usually full of Germans.

Patience is very much important.
When I first started playing I wanted to do everything quickly and at once. The result was my suffering many crushing defeats.
This has been my main problem. After playing only the AI for several years, I have just started PBEM. Watching the clock, rushing moves, thinking I have to hurry. I plan on changing that.
-
That was quick, didn't that scenario just come out?
How are you getting that smooth panning?

I am one of the 7%.
I found the game in 2011. As a Mac user, I had given up on trying to find a game similar to CM. But somehow I found a link that lead me here.
It's hard to look for something when you don't know what you're looking for, right?

Wow, I remember this one. Just downloaded and took a peak. Looks nice.
A few crack leaders to boot too. Thanks for this.

Could there be any more cliches in the dialogue?!

From the post title, I thought you were going to talk about Brazil...

I tried the demo as well.
I wanted to like it since I thought the concept was interesting with the map interface etc.
I thought the game played really fast and almost comical how the units moved. And you couldn't get into your pixeltruppenz faces like you can with CM. I am more than happy with CM.

They were a good bank and then some great high muckity muck retired and the whole thing turned into a very hostile, evil bank,
I think that's when they left San Francisco for North Carolina. The CEO was known for being one very miserly, ruthless guy. There is a "rock" (art installment) in front of 555 California St, formerly known as the Bank of America building. They call it the bankers heart. Black and cold.

This proves that only 1/3 of soviet tankers could function well after having their daily allotment of vodka.

I love the keep out sign and the dog's name (Vlad) on his dog house...heh heh.
I want to play as the Mad Hermit

And should you get tired of Red Thunder  there are five more titles to pick up.
-
Looking forward to it. Love the artwork in the briefing

Awesome! Your story telling skills are great. I saw Steiner die at the end though. Too sad.

I can't even remember...one of those internet paths you take down a rabbit hole.
I found it in 2011. Before that I was stuck in John Tillers East Front, which left a lot to be desired as far as AI and interface. I literally get motion sickness when playing most FPS, the quick screen motions make me dizzy, long after playing; so that never did much for me.
CM has everything I want; challenging, fun, multiple game formats. Just started pbem and it is adding yet another dimension.

Sounds like the good, ol' Private Ryan story to me...
indeed. I nominate Rutger Hauer for the lead
