  2. If Dennis slides me those mods from back in 2016 and I have a few more finished, we have a nice set of Barbarossa Babies to play with. THEN...we go look at Soviets. Here are my main 2 Barbarossa Babies (PziiiG on the right and my PzIVF1 blender mod on the left, I still have to gray the wheels and add more markings to match the pziiiG...)
  3. Thanks for the info Frenchy. That would be great if you eventually pumped out the German infantry uniform tweaks for Barbarossa. If you don't I would just purchase the best I could and do some renaming. There are mods for early war German helmets with decals out there I am pretty sure. I am working on Soviet uniforms.
  4. Actually, I do NOT have the complete set. Are they in CMMODS? Or can I please get from you some other way. PM me a dropbox link maybe? Kind of nuts I guess, but I like to have a lot of stuff going on so I can flitter back and forth or to allow for dead time or delays...
  5. The bow mg issue? Other people are seeing it. I saw it with ALL mods removed. PziiiG? But now you don't see this happening? Strange!
  6. Not a Barbarossa Baby, better for anyone trying to make Fall Blau Summer 1942 offensive scenarios...a PzIV Ausf G (late). THIS IS NOT MY MODDING! This is Nigel's I think. @NPye from the Stalingrad Mod. Or maybe Dennis's work? @umlaut I forget.
  7. I still gotta fix the pistol port numerals and do a final blending layer to soften the markings but for now, this will be employed
  8. Vehicle modding sometimes reminds me of working on a car. You can have a task progressing ok but then you fumble a fastener and spend an hour trying to retrieve it from the engine compartment. Like this side hatch pistol port issue. The bmp has the images for the port and starboard sides of the turret BUT also has TWO separate images for the pistol port flaps BUT it seems one is redundant and unused and instead ONE is reversed/mirrored to be both sides. THAT is where you hit a snag. The emergency response for this situation is to use symmetric numerals such as your 0, 1 and 8. Standby... EDIT: also seen below is the bug reported where the bow mg tracks in z-axis rotation WITH the turret rotation. @Frenchy56 Doctor Frenchy, can you provide any mdr surgery to help this patient? :-)
  9. Bug report: PziiiG has several 3D issues. I searched this thread and saw that hatch issues had been reported. Adding to that: 1. for "open up", the pziiig commander's hatch rotates up and out about an axis outside the hull versus rotating about the hinge location axis. 2. the bow LMG tracks with the turret and rotates about the z-axis at the center of the turret along with the turret 3. gun mantlet seems to slide outwards and down like the jaws on the creature in the movie Alien. Space Lobsters prequel? It eventually hits and enters the 3D mesh of the hull. 4. As turret rotates we see through and down into the crew compartment where Hans is whistling the Panzerlied Maybe somebody hired some new interns?

  11. Waffelman saw your INITIAL REQUEST. "remove all gear". He approached the problem from a different direction to make it ALL not be visible.
  12. @Blazing 88's Thanks for the great pdf book Warren! Brazen Chariots is written by a British tank officer who was in "Honeys" (M3 Stuarts...) during Operation Crusader in late 1941. Google Earth still shows an Italian trench he fought against with his troop of Honeys. Maybe even the small walled building he talks about. Sonuvabitch! So, I just had to write a scenario about that part of the book. I am almost done.   13. Serious request: Can someone please purchase a PzIIIG and take it for a spin? Do you see any odd 3D issues with the gun mantlet during elevation downward? I haven't messed with the mdr in Blender at all. But it seems there are some oddities... EDIT: OK, trying to be a good troubleshooter, I removed ALL my mods. Restarted CMRT. Here is what the PzIIIG did that I was seeing. (I was worried it was my 3D tinkering...) Maybe these things happen all the time and I just never noticed...like a guys thigh slightly sticking out a truck?
  14. EDIT: OK, I started with the all dark yellow PzIIIG turret/hull/wheels bmp files we got with F&R. I ran each through the same technique in GiMP. I selected by color the Thomas's English Muffins nooks and crannies darker rivets and crevices. Put that in a layer mask with black fill color. Then in that layer mask's active layer, I colorized. First try was off the internet dunkelgrau code 7a888e. Way too light! I was bummed for several days. Finally got the time to open separately in GiMP a museum color photo of a Pz38T and used the eye dropper to grab what I call Panzer Grey code 313a41. That has some good Barbarossa flavor!
  15. Just to be clear: we are talking about the bfc mdr file, a german gear cluster of breadbag-canteen-messkit. I then took it into blender and made the canteen and messkit go away. In the game, we only see the breadbag BUT we still some see the shadow effect from the canteen and messkit down on the breadbag. This is NOT part of the texture of the gear. This is NOT dropshadow. It turns on and off with the alt-W shadow switch. I went into Blender and tried to deselect "can receive shadows" but still no joy. :-) Sure, send a download link and I will look at it. I am open to looking at any solution to getting rid of shadows cast by something no longer there!

  17. If anybody else wants it, here is what I did for George MC... [nogear] modtag text file. [nogear] v1.0 Waffen SS have only bayonets, ammo pouches. [nogear] v2.0 Waffen SS have only bayonets, ammo pouches AND custom breadbags for souvenirs (I used Blender to remove canteen and messkit).
