  1. I think if you just streamlined all the titles into one .exe it would be a big boost.I am currently play FI BN RT and BS about 15 games and i have to load the exe every time i want to load a different multiplayer game. even streamlining modern and ww2 ere into theyre own exe would be welcome.

Other than that i would like a raking fire feature and to be able to fire into concealment. just because you cant see them doesnt mean they didnt shoot at area targets. big example of this is crops like grain, wheat doesnt stop bullets nor do bushes. i cant count the numbr of times i couldnt do anything about a guy shooting at me because of some LoS caused by concealment. Real world we would "cut" that crop down.

I dont know if it is a feature tbh but burning fields and wooded areas with flamthrowers to defoliate and flush out troops would be cool too.

Me and two buddies have been PBEMing in every CMx2 except CMA and we actually were talking about how great it would be if you could launch all from one exe. though it will never happen

  2. Steve - Thank you for the quick response and good luck getting it going soon.  More snow forecasted for Sunday and Monday and would love to spend the time playing a new game or battle pack.

Well I just picked up CMA I put it offfor so long due to the fact there didnt seem to be much content. I am happy I waited so long now I have something to play while I wait for CMFB =)

  3. I find this ironic as since the start i tried restricting aps use in pbems and people often disagreed while now it seems many are coming around to the idea.

The toggle i think would be easier to implement than tacai changes. Plus the tacai is already the problem and say they tweak it the next complaint is my ifvs use atgms too much. With a toggle noone has anyone to blame but themselves and i dont think it.d require a UI overhaul at all. It seems BFC introduced 3 new UI aspects O can think of immediately cover armor which they said they had trouble with, target briefly which was first in a patch for 2.0 CM and the use of flails with the odds n sods module. The latter two seemed to be easier or at least we didnt hear about difficulties like I remember with Cover Armor.

No, i think the toggles the best option especially since BFC wont have to constantly tinker it to meet everyones different expectations.

Pzsrkraut: while in real life you.re absolutely right they need to clear the barrel from whatevers battleloaded however you will rememver that in CMx2 the correct round is always assumed to be in the barrel. A tank could be driving around and if it stops to shoot at infantry theres no first rounds AP or switching to reload to HE or vice versa with armor. This has been confirmed a few years ago by the developers.

As Ukraine I have more luck with T-12 at gun than ATGMs

  4. I'd curse, but that wouldn't be family friendly!  The backend has a nasty habit of enabling stuff when messing around with edits.  It's kinda like a hyped up golden retriever who thinks that just because you're going near the door that it is time for a ride AND it involves taking the dog too.  Doh :)

We'll have things polished and available for you guys very soon, but not this weekend so don't start in with another Night of the Refresh Monkeys (for you old timers, you know what I'm talking about!).

    Steve

I have been checking the site 3 times a day since Jan. lol

  5. I know this is Black Sea forum, but CMAs forum is a bit dead. I am just curious what happened between BFC and Snowball? Did they have a falling out? Did CMA do really bad or something? I think it would be great if companies like Snowball could give us more varied CM games like Russia fighting in Chechnya or Korea maybe even some early war ww2. It could be neat

  6. Well I guess the cat's out of the bag...

That page is in progress and isn't supposed to be visible yet, and I'm going to ask why it is.

However, yes the Battle Pack is going to be released very soon, any day now. it will be released on the old store for now. It was actually supposed to go live today, but a last minute bug was found and that needs to be quashed first.

hurry guys i need more CM! lol

  7. Just curious...do the offers of $75 mean just the base game (CMSF), or what a remake of CMSF + its 3 modules would cost? I mean, 4 game-equivalents for $75 is a bargain.

I'm okay with just redoing it. CMSF brought up to the new engine, as opposed to trying to come up with a new storyline and location. If that's done, a remake, then what could stay:

    1. The research into TO&E

What would have to be redone:

    1. Every vehicle model, with all that implies.

2 Every animation (? maybe...not sure. But, soldier models would get redone.)

    3. Every battle and campaign. (New engine means NOTHING could get imported. It'd all have to get redone, as far as I know. Maps, AI groups, victory conditions, testing for balance, etc.)

That's a lot of work, especially if it includes all the modules. Relevancy wouldn't matter to me, but it would to some. (I'm fine fighting a fictional 2007 war.) Then, how long would it be viable, especially if a new engine version gets developed? Each of the previous titles (CMBN, CMFI, CMRT, CMBS, CMFB)  would need to be "modernized", as well. (And folks would gripe about $10 for that.)

I'm not sure there's a rational market based approach for BFC to invest in this type of project.

For 75 bucks i was thinking just upgrade to 3.0 engine but if they remade everything I would be willing to throw 100 bucks at it, but i think the wife would kill me if i spent 100 bucks on a game
