  1. Is it possible to buy them back later at reduced price if they were destroyed after some turns or does the system remember that they were part of the mobilzation force?

  3. In one of my current games I invested also quite early (1915) 2 chits in heavy artillery and infantry for the Osmanes. Until end of 1917 still only one hit for both. I would suggest an additional bonus for each round a tech chit is invested. It seem quite strange that sometimes a chit leads to a success in the same round invested and others takes years with no result. The change of a hit should be increased each turn a chit is invested. So maybe a bonus of 1% per turn and chit so when investing two chits you may have a bonus of 20% after 10 turns. So you would still have the random advance but also increasing the odds in the long term.

  5. In rare cases I cannot playback a PBEM move which has been send to me from another player. The playback starts but at a certain point I get an error message : Failed (animate_replay_list). Even if I load again the playback stops at the same point. No error occur if I skip the playback. Did anybody encouter the same problem? When the error occurs, the whole game terminate, so I have to restart.
  6. Yes, that seems strange. It is currently winter (rough see and/or snow), does this have any effect on sub hunting?
  7. I'm not sure if this is a bug. In one game TE transfered italian troups to the west front (Belgian border). As Germany I could attack them even though Germany was not at war with Italy. Can anybody confirm this?
  8. Germay has allways 7 chits to allocate (2 are already allocated to the ottoman empire which will free up when they join the CP). So CP have 14 chits (as TE without the US) so 14 chips will sooner or late get a hit vs. 13 chits.
  9. Well; I'm playing the central powers in this game. We are now in July 16 and my first priority in research is always industrial technology. I try to invest 5 chits in there as soon as possible. Currently I am now at industrial tech level 4 with germany (2 with Austria and 3 with Turkey) and getting 870 MPP with Germany 230 with Austria and 210 with Turkey. I have also played multipel times with the Entende getting about the same or slightlih higher MPP for them. The main advantage is that Germay is as strong as France and Russia together but only have to research for one country. On the other hand it has to fight on 2 fronts and to maintain it's navy. Being on the offence is also costly since the defender has the trenching advantage.
  10. I encouterd the same problem with the sucessor states of Russia. Germany could declare war at them even after signing the peace treaty. Futhermore this did not raise the war readyness of Russia itself. Since Russia is out of the war, the sucessor states do not even have MPP to reinforce there troups. It should not be possible to declare war after the peace treaty or Russia should come back to war with a NM of 100% since this is a new for for them now.
  11. Hi, I just tried to play a game with my german version 1.06 of W&W version an english verision 1.06a of the game. There is no german 1.06a patch and calypso says it is not possible to deliver one. I could not load the save game file. Is there a solution of this problem, like a save game converter?   12. In another game my oppenent has now 1500% morale, which makes any defense against such an attacher pointless. He could easily kill all fully entrenched chinese defenders. I hope this is fixed in the first patch and limited to 150% as you also could only get 15 strenght.
  13. Hi, In my current game me as axis vs. human player I did conquer 4-5 countries in a row wiht Germany and Japan. This resulted in a morale bonus which raises up to 659% for the highest. Is this correct or a game bug? The tactical fighter now kills even 50% of an entrenched (4) unit. With 2 tac's I could kill the full entrenced unit in Moscow quite easy. Greetings, Isnogud.
  14. Hi, I wonder if this is a bug. We play a two player game with me as axis. After conquering Yugoslavia the war readiness of USSR raised to 86 and after two more turns 'USSR joined the allies' and readiness is now 100. I thought that once the USSR joins the allies I would be at war, but I'm still not at war and can't enter any USSR teritory, neither with Germany nor with Japan. So the USSR cannot attack me ever if at 100. That seems strange to me. Greetings, Isnogud.
  15. I did liberate Crete with an amphibious assault with an UK unit. Some time later I also liberated Greece. Now at least one year has gone (still holding Greece) but the city and habour on Crete will not grow greater than 1. So I can't remove my UK unit from Crete anymore. Should not grow city and harbour to 5 after some turns? Of cause there are no enemy ships around Crete.
  16. Remove the higher value units like fighter and HQ to china and garrison with some corps from Japan and other isles. No need to re-inforce the garrisons, any weak unit will do. For a short time, till reorganisation you may also leave some cities empty since no partisans will show up there may be only damage. But in the long time garrison will be necessary to avoird USSR entering the war too soon.
  17. The key to China is not to try too much at one. First rounds buy tactical air every second turn. Invest in infantry research. Move most of the infantry to FooCho, do not attack in the north except for attacking chinese HQs Upgrade the movement for the units, fly the fighter to the south and also the carriers. Then hit with everythin FooCho. It may take 2-3 rounds. Attack and withdraw the units, the move forward and attack with the units in the second row. So you may be able to hit with 5-8 units + air at a turn After FooCho falls train your carriers and you air-force on the HQs you won't get any losses with those. Then slowly move forward at the south moving expierenced units back an re-inforce the to 11 and 12 after some time With the expierenced units you will get less losses and with the trained air you can wipe out the chinese on after another.
  18. I have contacted Kalypso about a german version vor 1.06a. They give the following reply: "After discussion with Battlefront we cannot provide this patch because of incompatibilities with the german version since technical problems exist". This is quite a bad situation for German PBEM or Online players. I guess most people with the battlefront version will update to 1.06a and so no PBEM game can be made anymore with the german players. Could not Battlefront release the german version of 1.06a or can the battlefront 1.06a patch somehow be applied to the germany version even if the german language is lost at that process?
  19. Thanx a lot for explanation Hubert. So regarding research it would only make sense to devlop intelligence only for one allied most probably USA. In your example UK -4 Germany -3 would all allies gain this bonus? Will germany get -1% as penalty or will it stay at its basis? In other words can a high intelligence level slow down enemy reasearch?
  20. Hi, does the intelligence level have any influence on the probability of a sucessful research? E.g. what happens if the US has intelligence level 5 and Germany 0. How high is the probablilty for germany for a successful research for one chip if (lets say all are on level 1 on that technology) Does this influence also count for intelligence research itself, so it would be much harder to catch up? There are 4 allies, which level of intelligence counts for them? The highest? or average? or only active allies (since France is usually out of game soon) What about Italy for germany?   21. Will we also get a hotfix for the german version? Is a PBEM/Onlie game possible between version 1.06 (german) and 1.06a (english)?
  22. Hi Canton, Thanx a lot for the gread mod. I have completed it now 4 times as the axis at 100% and expierence 1.0. It' s quite challanging and especially the USSR is very tough. They seem to have unlimited resources. I usually keep them away by fortifying the border to russion where the river early and placing artillery and anti-air there. In 1938 I conquer trans-jordan (The only country which is at war at that time) with Italian east africa (amphibious). Also Denmark and Yugoslavia with Germany, so I get a german harbour to place the german navy in the mediterain. Since I already on Trans-jordan at this point I can easily transport to the border of Egyt and conquer it before I attack poland. Island is undefended and so is Canada so I could conquer it with 1 corps (only strengh 2). I was wondering why the US did not join the allies as I have landed in Canada, maybe because the corps was so weak? After the fall of france the US could quite easily defended with a few land units and all german aircrafts. I think the USSR is quite strong with lots of resources and tech but they are unable to break trough the line of defence because of the fortification and the river bonus. They did not do much offensive action in iran even after I have conquerd it and also no attacks on finland after it had joined. Maybe you should give the russian some other options to attack than just run into the artillery fire. A amphibious landing over the easter sea would be an option or at the black sea trying to eliminate bulgaria. Or a kind of concentrated tank attack. In my games lots of russian tanks came but being shot by the artillery before they came into action. The PP for Italy are VERY low. Even after doing some progress I was only able to maintain the Italian east africa troups and very little was left for other italien troups. So most of the italien troups did nothing the whole game since it was impossible to get them into combat shape. Maybe a solution would be less units but in better shape or give italy some tech e.g. naval warfare or bombing so it would make sense to leave a country to italy which would otherwise be conquered by germany. Doing it now will cost germany PP which it could spend more efficent than italy. Just a few ideas to make a great mod even more interesting. There are is a small error I found in the information Popup: In 1938 before the annexion of Austria in the popup it says 'Großdeutschland' Germany was only called this after the annextion of austria, so any events before should only use Germany .   23. Hi, I'm sure online game will also be possible with global confilct. With the current SC2 it seems that online just the save game file is being send to the opponent after the turn has finished. Especially for big campaigns the save game file is 2-5MB big. Since upload is not that fast for most DSL users this may take serveral minutes. It would be nice if some compression algorithm (like zip or rar) could be implemented when playing the game or even when writing a save file. For PBEM turns I use winrar to compress the files after that the only have about 50% or even less of the size. So this could be an effective way to speed up the online game. Greetings Isnogud.
