  1. Hi - I'm having a great time with the Nato campaigns, right now I'm playing the Dutch "Back on Tracks" one. I'm on the "Over the hill" mission, and I gotta know - am I really getting bombed by the Syrian air force? I'm getting bombed by someone, and they are super-accurate and deadly! So far I've lost two of those little recon dealies, and also two Leopards. At first I thought it was a cool surprise, like they managed to sneak a plane or two up when everyone thought their air force was kapput, but now after I've lost four vehicles to what seem like laser guided bombs I'm wondering if something crazy happened when I started the mission. I noticed in the briefing I'm supposed to have an F-15E, so far I've only had the two apaches show up (right at the start) and some artillery (maybe 10 minutes in?) Is it even remotely possible that it's my F-15E bombing me? If anyone knows what the scoop is with this mission I'd be great to know, just so I can decide to restart, or keep playing, or skip it. Thanks!
  2. hi - just got a ctd with an out of memory error tonight, have never had it before. Happens when trying to load a save from the German campaign, the mission is "panzer hurra" (or something like that). Happens similarly to the way it's happening to Ashur above. Let me know if you'd like me to send the save, or if it's better to open a ticket.
  3. oh no!!! I had all that extra artillery in "the factory" if only I clicked on those little arrows?! I am SO bummed right now... I'm getting murderlized in that mission; just deleted a whole bunch of saves so I can't even go back and start it over. My own fault, of course, can't believe I didn't notice that there were two "pages" of artillery the whole time I've been struggling with this mission. Thanks for putting these up, really entertaining (& informative!) Hopefully I can level everything in sight with the rest of those howitzers and eek out some kind of win... or at least not a major defeat!
  4. hi - just wanted to mention I ran into the same problem, was playing the British campaign (mission where you have to defend against a pretty large attack) and now I can't call in artillery (it's "denied"). Don't think I have a save from between battles, which is a bit of a bummer (was barely holding on in that mission with the artillery). Can I ask anyone who's finished the british campaign if there are any missions after that one? can't remember the name right now, sorry, but it's maybe 6 or 7 missions in, and you basically have to try and hold on to this town while lots of armor comes at you. If it's the last one, or if there is only one after it I'll just give up on the campaign, but if that's only like halfway through maybe I'll try and finish the mission without artillery so I can continue the campaign. thanks-
  5. Hi - would you mind posting a link to the mod for no shelling sounds in the daytime? I tried searching around the repository but haven't had any luck. Thanks.
  6. It was the hotkeys file! Feel a little silly, I could swear I had put the original hotkeys file back in the folder (I had even renamed it "original_hotkeys" when the modified one went in, and then when I installed the British module I renamed back to "hotkeys" and got rid of the other one) Anyhow, just now decided to delete the hotkeys file altogether, and the game started up just fine!
  7. huh. well, thanks for posting, at least I know I'm not alone. Tried again this morning, same CTD. happens when loading battles (original, UK or USMC doesn't matter) and also campaigns.
  8. Hi - First time having any real problems with the game. bought and installed the british module today (have had base + marines for a while) and cannot get past the loading screen (get to around 90%) without a crash to desktop- "CM Shock Force.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" The 'error signature' is AppName: cm shock force.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: cm shock force.exe ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00240ec9 Don't know if that info helps any. First time I've run into a real hard crash like this with shock force; was just playing the day before yesterday without any problems. Thought it might have been the modified hotkey file, so I put the original back in but no luck. I've got winxp sp2, core2duo e8400, 4gigs of ram, gtx 285 with the 182.50 drivers. Is there a way to uninstall then reinstall the british module without doing the whole game? Maybe I could give that a try. Thanks -
