I did open the CMSF editor and could not find it, nor in the manual, its a recon/engineer tracked vehicle and would be very cool to have.
-
Great news BF, never seem to have noticed the German Wiesel 2 Pioneer vehicle before, a new vehicle ?
-
It would be nice to have ski troops in the next CMRT winter module and as it is now each movement ends with my pixeltruppen slide/skate the last few meters of the movment so that will look great with skies on .

Mr. Vibrating: I'm very sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid.
Man: Aha! If I didn't pay, then why are you arguing? Got you!
Mr. Vibrating: No you haven't.
Man: Yes I have. If you're still arguing, I must have paid.
Mr. Vibrating: Not necessarily. I could be arguing in my spare time.
Man: Oh, I've had enough of this!
Mr. Vibrating: No, you haven't.
Man: Oh, shut up!Still better than buying an abuse

You can have snow whenever you want. As it works right now in CMFI, the weather isn't dependent on what month it is but what you set the weather and ground condition as.
Oh sorry Mord, I did not know that I could do that. My next question will be which month vehicles will have winter-camo ?
-
Great news, thanks for the update, Steve.
Any chance you can tell how many month we will have snow e. g. from november 1944 to march 1945 or ?
Any chance for windmills ?
Will we get the german halftrack 251/22 with the PaK 40 installed ?
-
I have done some work in the editor lately on some old polish maps, and it would be nice to have windmills in coming CMRT module, several of the maps im using has windmills.
BTW when you save a map in the editor it always start at the same place when you return, it would be nice if it started where you last saved the map, as it does with units.

Core unit ? maybe Kampfgruppe Merkel

I use a 50 meter target arc both for the HT and the armored inf. inside so they hold their fire, then when you dismount give the inf. a face command towards the enemy.
Maybe use smoke rounds from the tanks to cover you, I think the tanks have limited ammo supply in this campaign, so use your machineguns all the time they have plenty of ammo.
-
I found a save file from that mission and did some testing, had tanks and infantry run through the marked minefields that the "Crabs" had made.
During 5 minutes nothing happened so now I think you a right LukeFF, "Crabs" actually clear the minefield and you can move through freely, I used slow, normal and quick commands.
-
I know from playing the second mission from "The Lions of Carpiquet" campaign where you have to go through a large minefield with "Crabs", but I dont have a save file of it.
-
Looking forward to all new modules, thats for sure !
BTW it would be great if the 251/2 could fire from inside the halftrack in CMRT, part of any upgrade ?

Yes, you can. There's a mine-clearing tank in CMBN.
The mine-clearing tank blow up the mines but they still function as marked mines and are not destroyed.

Yes, 10 mastermaps: 5 from the Orsha area and 5 from the Radzymin area, all of them big maps with lots of possibilities.

I like Combat mission for all the reasons you all have said: options - some like campaigns (like me) and thats fine, some like scenarios thats fine and some like QB's thats also fine.
The most inportant thing though for me have become the editor its a great tool and I simply love it.

You can play wego, each turn takes 60 seconds and you can use all the time you want between moves, and replay each turn as many times you want.

Saw it on 70 mm. very good movie, I'm a huge Nolan fan ever since Memento, but I did not like the "glider" scene last in the movie so only 5/6 stars from me.

I understand that this video is not a conclusive test, I did not intend for it to be that. It is simply to show a comparison between common behaviors found in versions 3 and 4, and to show that many of the behaviors encountered in version 4 are not optimal. It's my personal opinion that there is a bug here, but again I have not run enough tests to accumulate the data necessary to say that for certain.
I agree with the bug opinion on troops running away instead of stay low, still it would be interesting to see the same test with troops "hiding".

I really hope Chris will be back some day working for BF, all the best to Chris no matter what he decide.
W-SS and lend lease equipment !? Now I will sing like Emerson, Lake & Palmer did: "Oh, what a lucky man he was (is)".

Thank you for the info !
I am going to purchase all modules thats for sure and I'm very much looking forward to the CMRT module with snow on the eastern front.
BTW Red Army lend lease Sherman tanks would be awesome

Fortunately, there is a solution!
Replaces both the Apache and the Star Destroyer for ground combat missions.
Even though I am an old fart I like those Marvel movies !!

Destroying Russian air defenses can also be problematical. For starters you need o locate them. Doing so with drones can result in the loss of your drone and Tunguskas tend to remain safely at the back where t s often hard to spot them - other than finding em the hard way. On top of that s the Igla dismounts who are even harder to spot until they shoot.
It is a big problem, Iglas you cant do much against just hope they miss their target. Tunguskas are big and you should be able to locate them (in one mission you know from the briefing where they are located) I found out that after one of my drones located a Tunguska and was shot down I could still call precision rounds in on the Tunguska and destroy it.
