  1. Can anyone give me details on how to get the buildings from the modpack into the game so I can use them in the editor. Sorry if this has been discussed before but I did not see any threads when I searched. Thanks. Also, what is the highest building in the editor?
  2. For anyone who dl this file. I had to amend the interface position so it does not cover up the support buttons if available. I reposted the mod in the repository with the amended position. Sorry about that if you dl'd.
  3. Had to amend the files I posted in the repository. The interface was covering up the air, mortar, etc... support buttons. I moved the interface to just below where the buttons will be. Sorry about that if you dl this.

  5. I finished my mod for the GUI. I did not like how the interface was taking up area on the battlefield. I moved some things around and got rid of the "pause" notification that pops up. Thanks for the help and hopefully you like.
  6. That is in the TOW 2 section. Is the filelist similar between the two games?
  7. Does anyone have a complete Filelist? I used 'Procmon' last night while playing and was able to create a list of some files that I needed for modding the GUI. I wanted to get into messing around with some of the models but with this method it seems like I would have to put in alot of game time to get the files needed. Can someone help me out on this one? Thanks.
  8. I used the extractor but it did not extract a .xml file into the ordinary folder. I tried several times to extract but it does not put anything in the file. What am I doing wrong?
  9. Sneaksie - one more questions for you. I wanted to get rid of the green circle on the unit icons and just use the inner symbol (I believe it is a brownish color). Well I tried to change the color on my units but when I do it also changes the enemies color too. Is there a way to separate these or does the program share the same icons between your units and the enemies?
  10. Can anyone explain how the game uses the main.tga file in the data directory to assemble the images on your game screen? I was able to mod it by making things transparent and also changing some colors but I wanted to see if actually moving the interface around is possible. I was thinking about moving the commands to the extreme right and the minimap to the extreme left.
  11. Ok. Forget it. I found the right TGA file using the SFS extractor. I was able to make it transparent. You can see your units fine in the lower right and left hand corners (instead of seeing a semitransparent pic of a map) now but you cannot select them in this area. I figured this was a waste of in game viewing area. If I can figure out how to shrink the command controls that will even be better.
  12. Can someone tell me if it is possible to change the in game interface. I am completely new to this and have just started going through the game files to get to know them. I found the .TGA file of the interface in the data/GUI/ingame folder. It is called main.tga. Can someone explain to me how this is translated into the actual game? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Anyone??? I just want to get an idea on whether I should be tweaking some settings to get a better Framerate.
  14. That is weird. I replayed the mission 3 times now and I had no troubles with the triggers. Each wave came in within 5 minutes of the last one. I destroyed them and the germans surrendered. I know this scenario works for me but I am not sure why you would be having problems. What version (battlefront, 1C, etc..) did you buy? I have the BF version.
  15. What was your strategy? I just sat back in my defensive postion and allowed the attacking germans to advance into my ATG range. You will be reinforced with two more ATG. Bring them up from the rear to replace any destroyed equipment. If you advance on the germans this may do something to the triggers???? Try staying put. After my guns eliminated the german armor it did not take long for the rest of their forces to surrender and end the battle.
  16. Nikki, Thanks for the thread. I can get as far as what I stated but then I have no idea on what to look for. Rofl had a main.tga and a controls.tga in the data folder (for his blue icon mod). I can open these with infranview but I really dont understand what I am looking at or how to mod them to maybe show a different color other than blue. Can you explain how this mod actually works? I am just trying to get my feet wet here. Also is it possible to mod the gui (ingame). Maybe moving the controls horizontal instead of vertical to maximize screen view? Also, do I need Filelist.txt? If so, where is it available?
  17. 1. unzip to your mission editor folder. 2. run the exe file 3. put your tow mission editor location in the box on the bottom right that is asking for it. 4. create an extraction folder on your desktop and put this location in the box below #3. 5. Click on file / exit and close the program. 6. re-open the program and you should see a pulldown tree of files now listed in the box on the left. 7. click on tools/extract and all files will be extracted to the directory that you created in step #4. 8. No idea on what to do after this??????? This worked for me up to this point but I have no idea what I am doing. I want to understand how ROFL modded the unit icons (made them blue). If anyone can help me out here it would be appreciated. Thanks. I also wanted to try and mod the GUI that you see during game play. I know that you can minimize the center panel but is it possible to remove the two boxex on each side of the screen that just show a terran map that is transparent. I would like to get rid of that altogher.
  18. I have every setting on high and the resolution is 1680x1050. Shadows are on selfshading. Show vehicle movement is on. High landscape and High sky details are on. Hardware mouse cursor, combat gear, and show roads are checked. Hide bodies is unchecked. Only use one CPU is unchecked. My specs: Pentium 8500 wolfdale dual core 2x8600gts's running in SLI 2 GB corsair RAM Using FRAPS I am getting around 15 fps when I am at the lowest zoom level possible. If I move the mousewheel one or two clicks up the frame rate goes to 30 fps. What kind of FPS are you guys getting at the lowest camera view? Please post your settings and FPS.
  19. Finished scenario 2 with a win. I had to use the armor reinforcement as my stock armor got toasted from the get go. Scenario played pretty easy with the reinforcements though. If you mentioned this somewhere forgive me but the minimap is not working in scenario 3. All I see is a bunch of ????? Is this because you had to put the "1" marker designating the placement of your artillery?

  21. Thanks. I got the files and have the scenario up and running without a problem. I played the 'Group A' map a couple of times now. Very challenging to say the least. I have been trying to play without reinforcements but I do not think I will be able to succeed here without calling in some armor. Everyone should keep their eyes on this one. Looks very promising. Kudos to you guys for putting in the work on this one for everyone else's enjoyment.
