It was pretty hard compared to Thunder campaign...many thanks to the authors...
-
Just finished Semper Fidelis
Skill:Iron
Marines Tactical Victory
Is it a good performance?
I found this campaign very tough...on the contrary the Thunder campaign was easier
-
You look at a landscape and search for a hidden position for a 75mm AT gun...oh...damn!..that was CMBB
-
Another point
I use to have armored vehicles in the rear, safe from AT attacks.
Infantry goes forward first with some accompaning Strykers sometimes waiting for enemy AT teams to reveal themselves.
When AT teams are mopped up tanks advance to finish the work.
Now it seems to me that an Armored Target Arc command is missing. AT teams seem to me to be in the habit to fire with their rifles to advancing infantry.
-
correct me if im wrong but, the us army has never lost a firefight in Iraq and Afghanistan if i recall
yup...but I considered the point in the view of game challenging
-
No genius...
first and second battle (uhmmm...that with the Red airport, you know) just played before with v1.03...but Red deployment was changed (maybe the scenario has 2 or more red deployments)
other battles just played once with v1.11
No cheating favourable to US...but I think that US Victory Conditions have to weight more US losses as in real life...just my 2 cents
-
Just finished TF Thunder Campaign skill level iron.
Every battle US Total Victory
It sounds like that Victory Conditions are heavily US biased.

"Pause, Target and Face commands are all referred to the starting point"
Did you select the waypoint? When unit is selected, click on the white pyramid or ball.
Oh man...thnx very much....smuack!
going into another world
-
Bodkin, hang in there. You'll get it, it is simple. At the final destination give the unit a TARGET ARC or FACE command. Not a CLEAR TARGET. CLEAR TARGET is not a command that can be placed at a waypoint.
TARGET ARC or FACE commands will break/end/cancel any previous TARGET command.
Go back and look at the 1st image of the thread, you'll see I used TARGET ARC to cancel the TARGET command.
This new image used a FACE to cancel the TARGET command.
- QUICK command to position you want to fire from.
- Select the waypoint at the firing position. Give PAUSE 15sec command. Set TARGET command on to the target you want to hit.
- REVERSE command to position you want to back up to.
- Select the waypoint at the final destination. Give FACE command to direction you want the unit to face.
Sound off if your still having questions, we'll get you squared away
It doesn't work
Pause, Target and Face commands are all referred to the starting point
- QUICK command to position you want to fire from.

damn...Squad Leader was a great game...being thrilled to read every details of the rules
-
IPlease all of us need to remember until this is fixed: Choose the CLU 1st and all will be well!
yup...it was (and it is) my rule of life
but I thought it would be annoying in a RT game to find out a squad with missiles and a CLU disappeared
-
send the full sqd save along and I'll see if I can duplicate it.
no more full squad save
but now I am not sure that the full squad isn't OK
anyway please take note that
B CO HQ
1st Plt HQ
show different behaviours
-
you can send it to Mark.Ezra3591@Gmail.com
But the answer is in he number of men. Full sqd OK...2 Man teams No good
Nope---I met the bug in full squads too
-
Very odd....
Tiyas Detour Campaign scenario
B CO HQ
pick up missiles first, then no Compound Unit available
1st Plt HQ
pick up missiles first, then Compond Unit available
If interested I can send save file attached to e-mail
-
Strange...I found that in the same scenario units show different behaviours
-
To MarkEzra
yup...please note that the bug is independent from the unit size...
Hope that in the new patch there will be also an Armored Target Arc command
If you give an AT team a simple Target Arc command, the AT team could fire an enemy infantry unit thus revealing himself.
-
Doesn't this depend on how many troops are acquiring?
I've noticed that if I send a 2 man team in, Acquire 2 Javelins, they then cannot take the CLU and the 3rd Javelin. I imagine this is coz it's too much to carry perhaps? I tend to take the CLU +1 Javelin first and then see if I can take any more. Always a bugger having to heft those things around with nothing to launch them with
Nope...if you pick up the Javelin Compound Unit first, everything is OK
-
Warning
If you first pick up Javelin missiles, then you cannot pick up the Javelin Command Compound Unit.
-
Damnit...still no armored target arc like CM:AK?
-
Not sure why this is this case either. It probably has to do with AI limitations. There are lots of little things missing in Shock Force that we had in CM that I assumed would carry over.
Then again, we also have a lot of new things we didn't then. Balances out more or less I guess. Oh, and don't forget the shiny graphics
oh well...let's hope in 1.11
-
I hide my antitank team with a covered arc in order to ambush a tank.
But an enemy crew enters the cocered arc and my antitank team starts firing and so it comes under fire of the tank outside the covered arc.
So why non armored covered arc like CMBB and CMAK?
