  1. I want to unpatch v.1.2.4, so I need to uninstall Kursk, then reinstalling it

In the readme file you read

    2. Game deletion

If you choose to remove ‘Theatre of War 2 Kursk 1943’ from your PC, select “Uninstall game” item from the game group in the Start menu and follow the onscreen instructions

There is no uninstall game item in the game group in the Start menu...maybe is it the unlicense Kursk item?

  2. Mostly, you have to figure out how to make the next step. Challenging, indeed .... think about Tomb Raider :)

well...it is a matter of common sense

no PTB can embark the crew(60 men) of the U-Boot

so only the DD can do it

and the DD can do it if it is very near to the U-boot

  3. The game has changed SO much since these missions were playtested that the initial campaign's missions are going to be quite a bit different. You will get results like that, and you will also get missions that got CONSIDERABLY harder since they were originally made.

Don't you think it would be advisable to improve Thunder Campaign objectives?

  4. In general, downgrading is easy if you have the previous EXEs saved (primary and Modules). Just remove the current EXEs, put in the old EXEs in place, and remove the current BRZs. Usually this works, though sometimes the Hotkeys file will need to be replaced too. To re-upgrade just reverse the process. If you take the precaution of saving the older EXEs then you don't need to go through the installers again.

    Thx Steve!

  5. As everyone has been trying to tell you, your artillery bug seems to just be an issue with loading 1.20 saves in 1.21. (for campaigns loading from the "auto" mission start save will work fine)

GSX, 1.21 works fine and is well worth it, go ahead and upgrade after you've finished any inprogress 1.20 missions.

ah...OK....see anyway this post ffrom BFC

Reminder... save games should be completed in the version they were started in. We make no guarantees that a save game file will behave correctly in a different version than the one it was started in. This seems to be an example of why we recommend this

I will speak with Charles about re-instituting version checks and to prevent earlier saves loading in later versions. I don't remember why this was removed, but it looks like we should revisit that decision.

ah ok....I always save my games in the order phase...evidently in some cases this will not work

  7. Not sure what you mean. I just opened up the scenario in 1.21 and the CO, 2IC, Mortar FOO and JTAC guy can all call in mortar fire. Only the snipers and the landy crews cannot.

    yep...that's true at start

but after upgrading to 1.21 I loaded the saved scenario file, started in 1.20, and the mortar support is denied

  8. Until now you all forgot that the key factor to Allied final victory was Italy.

If Hitler wasn't distracted form the Balkan campaign because of Italian disasters in Greece, Barbarossa would have started in May, as planned, so it would have been very possible a Nazi victory in Russia.

And with USSR out of war the Allied invasion in France would have been very dubious.

The invasion of England is secondary to the Nazi strategy.
