CMSF-2 seems to involve NATO intervention in a Russian intervention in a Yugoslavia-style civil conflict in Ukraine.
Still a mis match. Just give us NATO vs PACT 1979-1986.

Again, has there been an official BF response as to the lapses in 3D models and skins? When will there be a fix? I understand mistakes are made. This is a very complex arena and I don't want to sound too whiney. I only complain because this is the only game I play. The Lynx, Wespe, Marder III and Tiger II are simply not what we are used too. I appreciate the iPad thing and expanding the customer base but lets get these basic graphics issues addressed please.

You missed that? We're way beyond that now, into the correct period pocket lint, you know.
That's funny, I was hoping for a black bread crumb and loose tobacco, pocket lint mod for the 12th SS.
-
OK, but when the uniform button mod comes out, I will blow a gasket.
-
If I was a play tester this would not happen.

I am fascinated with this whole underground German helmet culture. It's like collectors of rare coins or stamps or something. Do you realize there are more helmet mods than British tank mods? I mean I thought I was a grog with too much time and some anal retentive/ obsessive compulsive behaviors but you helmet people are just flat weird.
-
Yes they can, just make sure there are no trains on the track at the time. I lost a Pz IV to a locomotive once.
-
I am playing a PBEM game where a single Cromwell IV has taken 3 direct hits to the turret and hull from a Shreck and continued with no damge to the main gun and mobility. Finally a 4th Shreck round killed it.
-
Can we get a response from BF on this? I am finding it harder and harder to play the CW, with their TC's riding high in the turret and being picked off at an alarming rate by 9mm pistols. I button them up and they cannot spot grunts in the open at 30 meters.
-
Ha! I was right credit me another bug, not just a rant.
-
I think the 49th Division used a round version of their Formation Sign on their vehicles.
Depends what pictures you look at. I have seen both.
-
I should just start another thread but I am lazy that way. Up next a Humber Mk IV from the 49th Infantry.
-
Inns of Court Dingo and Staghound up soon.

Silly question. Have we been so busy playing Commonwealth forces that an overall change to TC vulnerability has slipped in under the radar? I'm speaking as someone too busy playing Commonwealth forces, myself. I don't know the last time I sent a US tank into combat and don't know if he's become more or less vulnerable after the patch.
Please BF, so somefink. Seriously, I have noted:
1. Increased mortality of open tank commanders
2. Decreased sighting ability of buttoned tanks (which I believe was intended). Seems that buttoned tanks facing or with an arc that encompasses enemy infantry in bocage for example; can spot said infantry at about 50 meters. That's if the infantry are not hidden and likely firing at said bottoned tank.
3. Increased "bullet magnet" effect of open tank commanders and accuracy of small arms fire aimed at soon to be deceased open tank commander.
-
I understand the tactics and need to stay buttoned near enemy units. That being said, I am telling you that British tanks, in particular the Cromwell and Churchill seem to suffer a higher casualty rate in relation to other tanks. This has been my particular experience in the time I have had CM. Could it be bad luck, certainly, do I have any hard data, no.
-
Or is it just me? I have lots of stories. How about the commander who opens his moving Cromwell IV and is shot once through the head by a single rifle shot from 100 meters away, 1 second after the hatch is opened. And no, it wasn't a sniper.
As it stands now, I cannot have a single open British tank within 250 meters of even an enemy pistol. It appears to me the most vulnerable place on the battlefield in CM:BN is a British tank. I didn’t observe this mortality in US tanks or German tanks.
-
Anyone noticed that Churchill commanders suffer a far higher attrition rate than other tank types? I have. I tend to have to button them manually from the off which I never did with shermans
I believe in general British tank commanders in CW appear to have a much higher casualty rate than I have previously experienced in CMBN.

Where is the Wolverine "wheels" file? It was missing from the RAR file I downloaded
Wheels not included, I didn't do anything with them.

I think "Miniature Nazi Commander in Biker’s cap and Leather” is staged.
-
Son of a.....................! I will get it fixed.

Staghound with I Corps markings.
-
OK, thanks for the links guys but I have to say it's a little thin for the Inn's:
•Staghound is included
•Daimler Scout (SOD) is included
Not included in CW but listed in TO&E for the Inn’s:
•Humber Scout Car Mark I/II
•Daimler Mark I Armored Car
So the alternative is to substitute Humber III and Daimler II with it's 40mm.
And the hell had the Humber IV?

My only reservation for your gorgeous mods is that as soon as Aris has his dirtied up (or someone dirties yours up even more) those will be the ones most everyone will be using.
That is beauty of mods. Some players are just filthy, nasty and dirty rust bucket types, while others like a cleaner unit. All my units will have weathering to some degree and even some rust.
-
I agree re the units --but werent the Inns of Court Armoured Car regiment, though a Corps unit, in fact, at least attached to the 11th Armoured Div (as other AC Regiments were attached to other Armoured Divs) during this period. I am not at all sure though, whether they ever wore the 11th Div Bull....
This appears to be the case. I am however having trouble finding a squadron decal for the Inn's.

Bump, bump. Who cares for a Putin vs the US in the Ukraine 2014? Not me. How many of us Cold Warriors would freak over CM 1985?
