    I had the same. There was no staff squad in the reserves list at the start of the German campaign in hard mode. Later on I got a sniper in some other squad though.
  2. I havnt found a way to do it. You can change the names in the editor or directly edit the mission xml file. However for some reason it's not saved and won't show up in the game. Too bad it would be a nice feature.
  3. Excellent work Webwing!! Figured most stuff out already but learned some tricks like setting up the camera. Keep up the good work!
  4. Interesting. Would be nice to include this in every mission. While the player is doing their job there could be a submission running checking constantly for the casualties. Submission; if casualties higher than xx% than return to begin react point. If the point is reached the mission will end in a failure. Though the victory condition still needs to be in place. Would be silly to retreat if theres like 1 enemy left. Can you link a mission to the same map again? So the player can retry the map with fresh units, while the campaign keeps going on?
  5. @You1 I want a squad commander with a MP40 and a Luger, not the tank commander Doesn't really matter for the coding tho Imo the weapon distribution is a bit odd for the German side. In general (early war) a Zug would have a commander with a MP40 and a side arm. The rest of the soldiers would have Kar's. Also the Germans tend to give the grenades to one soldier (best thrower) instead of distributing those to the whole squad.
  6. OK Ive figured out you can edit the totals of the magazines. Still the first questions stands.
  7. After getting annoyed a bit in battle here's some extra tips I found out the hard way. ATG movement. When moving up an ATG gun the crew will turn the gun and start moving. Once in sight of the enemy the crew has been killed even before it faced the enemy. When using the DEFEND command to move forward the crew will pick up the gun instantly and slowly move forward with the gun facing the forward direction. Vice versa for Tanks. Using the RETREAT command and clicking behind the tank it will travel backwards while facing the enmey instead of turn around showing its weak rear to the enemy. Very usefull for SPG's
  8. Is it possible to edit the BackPackSets? For example I would like to have a commander with a MP40 and a Luger. Now I only see the options of MP40 only, or MP40 plus some grenades. For tanks I can only add the Pack 'mixed'? Can we change that to 2 types of ammo or remove shells from the total? Searched it up in the xml file and it only states <mixed>
  9. I have a AMD 64 2800+, Asus K8V SE Deluxe, 1gyg DDR2 Ram, 7200rpm Sata1 HD's in Raid 0, Windows XP SP2. I have the Saphirre x1950 and the game runs smoothly on high settings and 1024. As a tip buy remove the stock fan/cooler from the card and replace it with a big one like a Zahlman or something. It is known that the stock fan is underpowered and will not cool enough.
  10. There are several reports of multiple hits on the western front. High caliber guns could knock out 2 shermans (early) Theres also a story of a panzer ace who shot through a wall of a building and knocked out a Sherman. can't remember who it was though.
  11. Im doing some research on a particular unit and also trying to figure out the mission editor. I want to follow that unit during the course of the war; making several campaigns per front. Apart from missing some units, the bigest problems are the maps. It doesnt make sence to do tenfolds of battles on 3 fronts on aprox 10 maps or so. Also you can field only one regiment on a map.
