  1. Hi, I'm back to CM after a long hiatus. Is someone working on a public document listing the tables of organization and equipment, for example the number of rounds per artillery unit? If someone has an idea of how to do it efficiently, I stand ready to help.
  2. I ran my own tests and came to the same conclusion : engineers are useless regarding urbanization plans. But I noticed something : if I give a BLAST order from further than 20m from and obstacle, they will run to it but won't blast it. Is there an explanation ?

  4. I'm curently playing a mission in which there is a wonderful 2-story house that could provide me with excellent lines of sight on almost the whole battlefield. Too bad I'm deprived from those LOS because of another house. So I decided to blow up the problem. 2 engineer teams are working on it for 13 minutes now, using up to 15 demo charges and the annoying little house looks damaged but still stands its ground. You may think this looks like a whining post, and obviously it is. To get rid of the obstacle, would you have rather used cannons ?
  5. I'd like to hear about those teams purposes. Here are the roles I already gave them without any noticeable benefit : - C2 relays between their HQ and lower ones - frontline spotters while the HQ is safe a few meters away - bodyguards for their HQ (current use) What about you, how do you use them ?
  6. In the Russian mission "Southern outskirts of Verhkopenye", dug-in guns are too deep : when they fire, shells explode at point-blank, killing servants.

  8. Most of the crashes occur when I stop a game and use F6 to reload a save. Some other happen during long games, 1h30+
  9. I played yesterday the first battle of the Russian campaign. I saw 3 german planes flying so high I'm not sure they were Stukas. Despite a complete lack of AA weapons they didn't attack my troops, they just crossed the battlefield once. Maybe they were heading to another player's game ? PS : I'm experiencing quite too many crashes to desktop, are there any log files I can upload to help improve the game ?
  10. In this battle, I saw ground attack aircrafts turn around hunting my troops as low as 1 meter above the ground. Around the hill, they acted just like reef sharks !
  11. It didn't worked, I had to uninstall/reinstall the game and re-set the "camera max height" setting to max to get the camera behave the way I like. You won't believe me -or think I'm completely dumb-, but I pressed a key that messed it up once again. I think it's INS. I'm still looking for an easy way to undo this setting... EDIT : this time, erasing keys.ini and settings.ini worked.
  12. How can I completely reset all my settings ? Any file to erase ?
  13. I'm on Free mode, and reassigned the DEL key. I reset camera options to default through the Settings panel and it didn't resolve my problem.
  14. I'm experiencing a slight problem in ToW2-Kursk. My camera won't go up to 250m as it used to do a few minutes ago. I figure I pressed a key that messed it up -and don't know which one...- but my camera is reaching a ceiling up to something like 50m and is now following terrain ups and downs. I checked my settings and used all camera-related hotkeys (backspace, enter, numpad-0) but it doesn't want to go as high as before. Any suggestion ?
  15. "Action replay" has already been discussed about, I think it was when ToW1 was released. It has been said it couldn't be implemented for it would heavily slow computers to record every single bullet flight.
  16. It was in a MP game, on "Hills" mission, but it's the same for every MP mission I looked at.
  17. 1C doesn't pay much attention to our feedback but this is no reason to shut up. I'd like to start a new listing of what doesn't work in ToW2-Kursk after applying the 1.3.1 patch, and also what we would like to see improved or added to the game. Bugs : - MP connection manager : I haven't seen it working once. Direct IP is the only way to get connected. - tanks shoot at planes - russian reco is zero in scout ability, while german one is 100. Wishlist : - MP game duration : timer presets are far too short. 15 min steps from 30 min to 2 hours and "infinite" would be more relevant. - A "Surrender" option

  19. Downloaded and installed through the autoupdater, it worked fine. This was long awaited !
  20. I'm keen on ToW since it's just a project and I blindly bought every game. I have been patient and kindly waited for fixes, patches and unofficial mods. I studied docs and worked hard on Editors. I used diplomat skills to convince players they didn't bought a crap game. Now I hear about 1C working on a new ToW-Korea game, although Kursk isn't working at all !?! Hey, something's wrong...
