Trying to start up a PBEM game, but can't figure out how to get going. I get asked for a Password, and then for a File Name, and then the game just exits? I can't find the file any place? How do I get to a set-up screen? Etc.? (Using version 1.11).

Or whatever the "easiest" level is called. I will need to try the thing you mentioned about clicking on the enemy icon and seeing if the Bradley is "bright." What I was just going by is the following. I clicked, for example, on a scout squad, gave a T target command and clicked on an enemy icon. The "distance" to the enemy shows up and "sticks". By that I mean, if I go back and again click on my scout the line to the enemy shows up with the distance. In the case of the Bradley, the target shows just like with the scout but the "distance" will not "stick." If I do an "area fire" just in front of the enemy then I get the stick. Thanks for the suggestion I will try checking it out.

In trying the ATGM Ambush scenario, I cannot get the Bradley's to target Enemy units. I can do an "area fire" right in front of the unit, but clicking on the unit itself does not work.

Hadn't thought it might be tied to a "set-up" issue. I will look at that more closely. Like I implied elsewhere, I haven't really done much with the game since back at builds 1.01, 1.02. Just didn't remember having any problem with "loading" in those earlier times, so got kind of surprised now. Anyway, thanks for all the help.

So, like they don't start close enough? Unfortunately my color discrimination between the "green" and "yellow" is probably not great enough. I just don't remember this happening back in like version 1 or 2 of the game. Oh well.

I agree it should, but why don't you try the training mission, first one, and try to load. It takes me at least two minutes (two different tries) to get any of the squads to load in their respective strykers. I may just do a reinstall and a repatch up.

Never thought to try Assault, can't be any worse than what I'm getting. I am at version 1.07. I didn't have this problem back when I original got the game. Thinking of maybe re-installing. Meanwhile, why don't the give us an EMBARK command like the good old CMx1 had???

From your screen shot, is the NEXT thing to do CLICK (LEFT) followed by a RIGHT CLICK so you can move to the next group? Sorry to be so dense, but I keep trying things. A few times I had a little "red bordered" arrow pointing to the left showing, it would seem to load after that.

Taking me forever to get loaded. Can't get all 4 strykers in the first training mission to load. Never get any load on the first minute, some times get one or two in the 2nd or 3rd or 4th try. Maybe a step-by-step??? Why can't we have a MOUNT (or LOAD) COMMAND. After all we have a DISMOUNT command.

Funny! You would think that would be in the manual. Actually maybe it is and I just over looked it. Oh well.

Pardon my ignorance, but I am just trying to learn this game (after a long lay off from it). Starting the tutorial campaign. HOW do I load up my squads into the Strykers? I thought there was a MOUNT order or EMBARK, but not seeing it. Do see a DISMOUNT order.

How does one (the Germans in this case) get a Minor victory in the 1939 campaign? ATM I control all the necessary cities, except MOSCOW which is not yet at War. Now, if I could take Moscow (without losing any of the others) would the game end right there, even though the UK, USA, for example might still be in the game?

Did an Allah's Fist, and "outwaited" the End. It did finally exit properly. Maybe a little more patience is needed, you think?

The plot thickens: Okay, Just started the tutorial campaign. Got a "normal" exit after a cease fire. It did the automatic move into the 2nd tutorial, brought up the SAVE screen, said OK and got the dreaded Microsoft has encountered an error ...! Started up again, tried loading the "save" and it started to load but after 5% it crashed out to the desktop. Weird stuff with 1.04 (for me). I will go back and try a battle again, see if the End will work.

I had it happen in one of the tutorial campaign scenarios, and in one of the "battles".

When I hit the cease fire key, I get the report screen as expected. But then, when I hit the End key things freeze up. I have to do the old CTRL-ALT-DEL, End Task, to get out. This is with version 1.04, did not happen in the earlier versions.
