yes you need the video codecs they provided in the DL or DVD. How much ram on that video usually you only have to half of whats in it.

to be honest with you that error list actually only works for something else, so I would try this, What OS mode 32bit or 64bit? Also try tow setup.exe then go to where your game is and open up the directory and see if your 1.4 exe is in there, if so run that version see if that works. Try shadows off and Sound off do 2 seperate test I want to see something. it looks like it might be open GL causing the propblem. This is being looked at by 1C company I have had this issue also but my game still runs. Try running with the shadows off.
